Worth it
January 14, 2012
This is not your run of the mill ski sweater. It is an upper end product that lives up to expectations. It is well structured and stylish. The wool can be a bit itchy, but chances are you will be wearing a layer under it, and won't be uncomfortable. The reviews that indicate you should order up a size or two are accurate. The sweater follows European sizing, and is cut to fit snugly on the body. The sweater's cut is a slimming look-the black is gorgeous. I ordered an XL based on suggestions from reviews, and it fits well over layers, with a bit of room to spare. I wear a 36D bra, and can wear a M or L top depending on the style-if that helps. I have not yet worn it on the slopes, so I have not tested the warmth, but generally this type of wool proves to be reliable. I really like this product, and while it's not an inexpensive sweater, I think it's worth it. You will feel attractive and well outfitted. Enjoy!
incredibly warm, great price!

I already have a 66 North Kaldi sweater in black that I bought while traveling in Iceland, and I love it. They are quite expensive, so when I saw this red one for such an amazing price - about a third of what it usually is, I jumped on it. The sweater fits very nicely - runs a little small, so you may want to go one size up. I'm 5' 7" and 124 lbs. - usually get a small, but for this, definitely needed a size medium. It feels lightweight but is really, really warm. Great for outdoors activities, but good looking enough to wear anytime. Since it's not bulky, also very nice for travel.
Pros: warmth, stylish fit, great price, Cons: runs a little smallNot bad

First of all I am size small and I ordered MEDIUM and I barely fit into it. If I gain just 1 lb I might not fit into it anymore. The shirt laid out flat measures 17inch from armpit to armpit and it does not stretch much at all. The description online states merino wool virgin wool blend. Well, label on the sweater states 55% lana wool, 40% polyester, 5% polyamide. No mention of merino wool. Also, the sweater is itchy beyond your imagination! Wearing soft base layer under this sweater is a must! I put on my merino wool soft base layer and this sweater over it and I was happy. The good thing is that it's def warm sweater and it does breathe well when you move. Another good thing is that it has nice soft lining inside around the neck line. Another negative is.. there are no pockets. Despite all of this I will keep the sweater because it is warm and it's cute and it weighs practically nothing! Great midlayer for backpackers that have shell over it with pockets.
