Solid Touring IK
July 15, 2012
After receiving the Aire Sawtooth II IK, I was eager to get it out and pump it up. I pumped it up in my living room first and discovered that this IK was much bigger than anticipated, so big that it could likely take three adults, even though it only comes with two seats. The material felt tough and solid, which is a mixed blessing; it inspires confidence in the water, but is so rigid that it's tough to fold/roll up and stuff into a bag. Even with a typical bendover pump, I was able to pump it up in about 5 minutes. The seats were solid and easy to install too. I'm eager to take it onto the water, but getting it there remains my biggest conundrum since even though the boat is just over 50 lbs, it's so big and unwieldy that it presents some problems transporting and even bigger problems with my plan to stow it in luggage to fly.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Great value, Cons: size, rigid material
