If you hike you need this DVD. You will need to pay close attention because so many techniques are covered very rapidly. The extras are beautiful. In fact the ending credits have special music that hooks one into staying until the very end, and then play it again.

Coming from a XC ski background I thought I could just use my snow poling techniques on hiking trails but this DVD showed me the correct techniques for some summer fun in the Sierras. Using the DVD I was able to adapt my XC skills to trekking poles very quickly. It's a great learning tool whether you're a XC skier or someone just wanting to enjoy and expanded your outdoor travel.

Always thought hiking with two poles was not for me and that the poles somehow would get in the way. After playing the DVD and practicing, I found that I was hiking trails and cross country terrain easier and faster than I have ever done before. In order to get the optimum benefit from hiking poles, you have to use them correctly. Have never seen another source out there which covers the same information. In addition, the scenery on the DVD is gorgeous. It would be a great gift for any hiker or backpacker on your list, either alone or with a set of poles.

Great scenery! And surprisingly good instruction. Easy to understand and follow along. I loaned my copy to my Mom and then couldn't get it back. It's also surprising the little details that I didn't know before. So I now take my hiking poles everywhere. If I don't "need" them for the trail, I use them for the workout.

This is one of the better educational videos I've seen. The descriptions are clear and makes learning to use hiking poles a breeze. It also helps to have such drop dead gorgeous locations featured in the DVD. Makes me want to get out on the trail and use my poles as soon as possible!

We created this education because:
1) no other exists
2) so many people do not use poles really well (even long-time users), so do not get full benefit.
Correct use of poles really do enable you to expand your hiking horizons.
Our techniques teach how to avoid knee/hand/wrist/elbow stress. That "saved" effort becomes an upper body/core workout. Physical therapists love these techniques!
We filmed in gorgeous locations and hope you enjoy watching this award-winning production as much as we enjoyed filming it.
