Fifteen years ago, somewhere between the damp etched boulders of Vancouver's Lighthouse Park and the colossal granite domes above Howe Sound, a group of climbing enthusiasts determined that what the world needed was a better fitting harness. The results were not only a groundbreaking harness design and a new climbing company--Arcteryx formulated an important philosophy for creating radical and exceptional outdoor gear that doesn't build upon the backcountry essentials already designed by other climbing, camping, backpacking and mountaineering manufacturers.
