Life saver and heavy duty backpack
I was hiking off trail in Allegheny national forest, tried to cross a river that was going 4 or 5 knots. Fell down and swept away by the current. I would not have survive if this bag was not able to hold in air and acted as a life raft as I went down the stream. This bag kept me floating. Went through couple of sheer rocks but never ripped. A good life raft right here. wishing they somehow had a separate strap for ropes and climbing gears.

Awesome pack
I am a missionary and work with Indigenous peoples in primitive conditions and in remote mountain and jungle environments for up to a month at a time. When I am in the field I am there for the duration no matter what; therefore, I need gear with outstanding performance and tough. This pack should have been named the bomb/ hurricane shelter. It's quality and construction are excellent! At first glance the harness mechanisms looked a little sketch, but once I set it up and checked it out it became apparent that simplicity and excellence makes perfect. When loaded, the hip belt moves so well with you that you could probably go dancing with this pack on. This pack is most definitely waterproof, it holds air so well that I believe I could use it as a flotation device. It measures right at 55 linear inches so it can be used as carry on luggage. The price is high; but unlike many purchases nowadays, you actually get what you pay for. The cons..... I would like to have one or two smaller outside pockets; other than that, this is a superb backpack that will probably provide me 10 years of heavy use.
