Axios 25 Daypack 4.9 5 12 12
Good for light weight loads I took this pack for several trips after I bought it. It is same as I expected from this bag. This bag is good for light day hikes. You can put several bottles of water, a rainwear, camera, food in and still with extra space left. This bag has three compartments, easier for you to organize things. As I said, if you are looking for a bag that is good for a light day hike, this is it. August 15, 2011
Best Backpack I've owned It's a little small, but holds a lot. I questioned the durability because it was so light, but it hasn't let me down--even overpacking it on several occasions. It handles any load well. VERY comfortable. I really wish Arc'teryx made a version that was a little bigger--my only gripe. I bought this pack to carry my laptop and books too and from school. As a daypack it's perfect, but for me, when carrying more than 2 classes worth of stuff it can get tight. Last semester I had to decide weather or not I really needed to take certain books to campus because it was slightly too small. I don't regret the purchase at all however. It's still the best bag I've owned. Bottom line, If you're considering this as a school bag, I'd look for something larger. If you will be day tripping with it, you can't go wrong. July 22, 2011
Great pack, be aware stock photo This is really great day pack. So lightweight yet well designed. Love that internally lining is orange, allowing me to find everything in there. Also stowable waist belt is huge plus, esp when I'm using it in urban setting and not needing any sustainment. Be aware, the stock photo used on most websites are wrong - it shows bird logo only, but actual product has "Arcteryx" wording under the bird. I just thought to give heads up, because that was HUGE turn off for me. July 8, 2011
Perfect Size This pack is perfect for hiking. At 25 Liters, it surprisingly can hold a lot of stuff. It has most of the same features as a larger pack, which is really nice. It has a very lightweight frame to it, which is made out of a hard plastic, which doesn't sound amazing but considering the size of the pack it doesn't matter. Practically every part of the pack is ventilated, so it performs really well under warm or hot conditions. It has plenty of pockets, a long with a bladder sleeve that is very accessible (it also fits my 15" laptop like a glove). All in all, the pack is just about the perfect size for anything really, besides backpacking. It works well for school, as a daypack or ski pack, or whatever your needs. I would definitely recommend this to anyone. Its a small pack with big features, and of course it was made with top quality as usual. Another great piece from Arc'Teryx! April 13, 2011

great size This size is perfect for my one day hiking. Size is 17.75" x 10.25" x 8.5". It can hold more than it looks. And very light weight! September 1, 2010
Nice bag Overall, this is is a great bag - good construction quality, lightweight, well ventilated, and high capacity for its size. A couple of points: * This bag is extremely light for its size, which is a major plus for me. Also, by cinching down four straps on the side, you can make the whole bag very thin, which is another major plus for me since I'm always crawling around and banging other bags against things. * The description on the Arcteryx website is wrong about laptop carrying capacity. The bag easily holds a 14 inch laptop inside a small case. A 15 inch laptop also fits. This bag easily can fit any reasonable size laptop, camera, hardshell jacket, shirt, snacks, drinks, at the same time. * In the theme of staying light, there is no padding on the bottom of the bag. So, don't put anything breakable down there. The soft bottom means that its easy for weight to get shifted to one side or another if the pack isn't full. * Although there is no padding on the bottom, the bag does have a plastic internal frame to help distribute weight. The ventilation backing is rough and may cause some pilling issues, although I haven't noticed any problems so far. * While you can stuff this bag, it doesn't seem designed to hold a ton of weight for long treks despite the internal frame and hip belt. The straps are a bit thin, which makes the pack feel a little strange when loaded down. This may just be a personal thing, since although it feels strange, my shoulders didn't get sore unlike with some other bags. I've only used the bag for about a week, and the pack may get better as it breaks in a bit more. * The two side holders are big enough for large bottles. However, since there is no cinching mechanism, smaller items will fall out of these pockets relatively easily. * Mine is made in the Philippines, for those that care June 18, 2010
Awesome pack inside and out! It's been two weeks or so and I have my new black Arc'teryx Axios backpack. The only thing that worried me about this pack was that it was going to be a black hole. I own an Arc'teryx Bora 80 and because it's black on the outside and on the inside its troublesome finding items. But Arc'teryx thought ahead, the Axios has a bright orange inside that is both functional (visibility) and attractive. I love this pack! I have already tested it out by hiking over some rough terrain and putting about 4 miles on it. It feels like it's not even there. This week I plan on taking it for an extended 9 mile trip over three mountains in NH and I am not worried about it at all. I have been nothing but satisfied with every item I have purchased from Altrec and Arc'teryx! Get it you won't be disappointed. June 13, 2010
cool day pack cool design pack, useful two zip pocket,I ordered the color copper. June 8, 2010
Great pack, bad color This pack was purchasesd for dayhikes and for travel overseas. When it first arrived I was sceptical about how much I would really be able to pack into it. After spending a few days with it, I am convinced this is the perfect dayhike/travel pack for me. Its very comfortable. It fits all I need for a day hike and then some. And when I have to travel over seas the pack will fit my laptop with out a problem. My only complaint is the representation of the color of the pack online. I went to several stores to try and get an actual idea but none had the lichen color. I took a chance on buying it because I wanted something different than the standard black or gray. Well it arrived and the color is awful. Online it looks bright, but in person it's a dull weird greenish-yellow. While I might be more visible in the wilderness,I feel its not appropriate for travel to Asia. So I have returned this pack and exchanged it for the standard black one. Get the pack, you wont regret it. June 1, 2010
Great design with light and strong materials! Very light, but very strong fabrics. Supportive with a good plastic sheet in back as well as ergonomic design. Super functional design with 2 good sized center compartments and 2 other small pockets. As well pockets on belt hold energy items, etc. Great design! April 18, 2010
