Bora 80 Backpack 5 5 5 5
Great product. I'm not a hard-core climber, or a rugged outdoorsman, so I can't give you a review of this backpack based on any sort of boot camp type of experience. But, what I can tell you is that this backpack was my best friend and valet on a recent, three-week trek through Europe. It's comfortable, immensely durable, and a looker. It rides nicely on the hips and has a great balance, especially when the shoulder straps are pulled down tight. There was plenty of space inside, though the bag compresses down nicely when you don't need it. The bag isn't a drop in the bucket, but I'm so happy with its performance that I think it's money well-spent. I own a number of Arc'teryx products and have always been immensely pleased with the quality and thoughtfulness in their designs. This backpack is no exception. As a side note, Altrec's Customer Service is extraordinary - they worked with me to get me this pack before I left on my trip. February 14, 2011
great backpack this is the backpack prepared for Argentina cities trip, a bit of waste for such a jungle-type bag. it is a little heavy, but comfortable. I always have at least 40~55 pounds, and feel that I could easily carry more if I had to. It carries well, and really pro-human. besides, this bag has a bunch of side pockets. I use the little bungees on the pockets, but I have lost a bottle before. That's the only negative that I can think of. January 13, 2011
Very tough pack This is a very sturdy pack that is well designed and can cary a lot of stuff. If you are a minimalist, this is probably not for you. The padding, buckles, zippers and fabric are heavy duty, therefore, heavy in weight. It will take a lot of abuse. I carried it w/50lbs in the Whites in NH last winter for five days. The compartments are simple and well thought out for getting in, finding what you need and zipping back up before all your gear blows all over the place. The hip belt is about as heavy as you will find, but, I like the stability it provides for a few extra ounces November 3, 2010
Arc'teryx is amazing I used this pack hiking and it worked out great! Easily carries anything you can think of! the padding in it is excellent and does not rub or create sore spots. I give this pack 5 stars and if I needed another pack it would be my first choice. March 7, 2010
Excellent The 2004 model is a very great bag. Highly waterproof you don't have to bring a rain cover, abrasion resistant, you can carry loads heavier than 50 pounds and it's still comfortable, great back support. April 16, 2008
