Whether you are heading out for a one-day mountaineering trip or you're a minimalist who wants to overnight on the peak, the Arcteryx Khamsin 40 has plenty of room for gear, food and, of course, the camera to capture the summit as the sun begins to rise. The Khamsin 40 is highly modular to save weight, using a tri-component suspension system to give you the support you need when fully loaded, but this mountaineering backpack can stripped of many of its components, suspension included, when you need light and fast for the push to the top.
- Material: 210D Ripstorm, 100D Invista HT / Mini ripstop with silicone and polyurethane coating
- Suspension: Tri-component suspension system includes 2 removable aluminum stays, horizontal frame members that prevent "barreling" & a removable dual density framesheet that unfolds to become an emergency insulated bivouac pad
- Pivoting Vapor™ thermoformed hipbelt & removable webbing hipbelt with two injection molded reversible/removable gear loops
- Hydration bladder pocket and hose port
- Top loading with full length WaterTight side zip & compressible kangaroo pocket with top closure
- Large removable top lid
- Two front compression straps
- Two Axio ice tool holders & two modular ice axe keepers
- Glove friendly snow shedding buckles
