Base layers or long underwear are the foundation upon which your entire clothing system is built. It is important to build your base with highly breathable fabrics that transport moisture away from your body. Arc'teryx long underwear offers the latest in breathable, moisture wicking fabrics, including merino wool. Arc'teryx is dedicated to performance. From technical fabrics to athletic fit, Arc'teryx long underwear tops and bottoms are designed to keep you warm and dry, regardless of your sport or the weather.

In the tops department, you will find heavy, medium and lightweight styles. Most people find the light and mediumweight styles to make the best base layers for general skiing and climbing pursuits. Heavyweight styles offer the most insulation and can double as mid-layers or even outer layers in some applications, like trail running. Arc'teryx offers zip, crew and hoodie models in their base layers. Of course, you will find short and long sleeve varieties, too. You will find wool fabrics in the Arc'teryx Eon series.

As for fabrics, Arc'teryx uses the following technically advanced materials and features:

  • Phasic™ AR - stretch hydrophobic fabric with minimal odor retention
  • Merino wool - all natural wicking and odor beating characteristics
  • Anti-microbial treatment

The Arc'teryx long underwear bottoms use the same Phasic™ AR and merino wool fabrics as their tops and are available in three different weights:

  • Heavy
  • Medium
  • Light

The soft, non-itchy merino wool styles are called Eon and Rho. Merino wool long underwear offers an incredibly soft and functional fabric that breaths and wicks moisture, naturally. Wool's natural antimicrobial characteristics help keep odors to a minimum. For synthetic s, look to the Phase bottoms. Great breathability and superior moisture wicking with great stretch define the Phase long underwear. You will also find the Phase in a boot cut style that reduces the overlap between your socks and your ski or hiking boots.

Lay down the best base layer you can with Arc'teryx long underwear for men and women.
