Maka 1

I ordered this bag for an upcoming trip, hoping that my camera (Nikon Coolpix P100, which is a little larger camera) and a few other things would fit in it, but not so much. It is pretty small. The camera does fit quite nicely but not much else will squeeze in except for small items. It has a zip pocket on the inside in addition to the exterior one which is nice. I really like the bag and the peacock color, and may keep it for hiking and the like when I don't need to carry anything but the camera, and the pockets work for extra batteries and other camera accessories. I really like that the strap can go cross body or around your waist, and it is comfortable to wear as the back is cushioned. So bottom line, really nice bag but pretty small.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great valueWrite a review for the Arc'teryx Maka 1 here.
Great Functionality and Quality

100% satisfied with this pack! Great function, high quality, especially the elegant design. It does its job whether on a demanding mountain path, in the gym or on the street. Arc'teryx is probably the most technical and innovative manufacturer in the gear field. I have all super experience with all my other Arc'teryx items.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueMaka 1 as a camera bag

Even small camera bags are too heavy, too padded and too clunky for ultralite backpacking or mountaineering, and they are designed to hang loose around your neck. The Maka 1 by Arcteryx is an excellent substitute for lite photographers like me. I carry a Lumix GF1 with a long lens in the Sangre de Cristo wilderness here. The camera body is 5 inches wide and the length with the 200 mm zoom lens attached is 6 inches. It fits snugly in the Mhka 1, and there is still room in two flat zipped compartments for extra batteries and discs, plus car keys (clip provided). Equally important, the strap works as a belt so I can wear this mini-pack in front and pull out the camera (by its lanyard) in a flash. Im an Arcteryx fan with two sturdy packs by the company, made in Canada.
