Great Pack

Overall this is a great pack. I really like how the pack zips fully open to expose all contents within. The build quality is outstanding and the materials are top notch. There are many storage areas and I really only have one problem; on the green pack the zippers are PINK! If you are female, great...guys be warned.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: colorvery comfortable

I was looking for a hydration pack that was comfortable for a women's build and didn't dig into my shoulders after 4 hours of hiking. This was the bag! Finally after buying 3 other packs, I am grateful to have found this one.
Pros: Build quality, comfortGreat Pack - Just the right size

This pack seems like it'll be a large daypack, but isn't overly big. I considered the Hornet and am glad that I went with the Mantis. I'm 6'2" and this pack fits just fine. It takes a hydration bag and will accommodate a laptop computer (up to a 15"). There are 2 water bottle pockets and three other exterior pockets for easy organization. I'm going to use it for day hikes and traveling. I could see it used for a school pack, too. The straps a comfortable and it adjusts great for my height. Perfectly happy with it.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityQuality Daybag

I was looking for another Arc'teryx pack to replace my beloved, discontinued Amp model that lasted 7 years of school, gym, work, travel, and everything in between. Another brand I tried afterwards did not last as long (only 2 1/2 years). The Mantis pack has what you'd expect from Arc'teryx - solid construction, comfort, compartments for storage and easy access. The top pocket is a big plus, as it's large enough to keep the essentials (wallet, smartphone, music player, keys...) handy in one compartment. The bag isn't the longest but it feels comfortable no matter how you adjust it for height range. A couple of minor snags - the water bottle compartments are small and do not fit a 1L Nalgene - they are better suited for 500-750mL bottles. Also, due to the design of the bag, once the main compartment is filled to the brim there isn't much wiggle room in the other 2 front pockets. The laptop sleeve also looks a bit on the small side and will further take up main compartment space. It would also have been handy to have a few loops and straps to clip things onto. The top pocket does not have too many organizing slots (you can fit a smartphone and/or maybe an mp3 player in the main slot, and a couple of pens) so depending on what's in there, headphones can get tangled with keys or smartphone screen will risk getting small scratches and nicks. Overall, Arc'teryx does it again with a solid, functional daypack good for everyday use.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Cons: could use a few more extras for practicalityDid you recently buy the Arc'teryx Mantis 26L Daypack? Write a review.
