Softest and warmest base layer pants
April 30, 2012

I have a Atom Hoody jacket and I love it so much that I decided to buy the same pants. Unfortunate, no Atom LT Pants for women. So I ordered one for men. Size XS, it turned out to fit me perfectly. Just as my jacket, super soft and warm. The only thing I don't like about the pants is the zippers on both sides of legs. I don't see the point of putting zippers there. It does not bother me that much. But I wish there's no zippers. I'm very picky about winter clothes because I gets cold easily when I go snowbaording. But I use this pair of pants as a base layer inside of my snow pants. I never feel cold again. In Feb. I snowboarded at the Snowshoe Mountain with a tempreture dropped to -17 degree on the slopes because the snowstorm and wind. But I was warm, comfortable and happy. I would recommend these pants if you are hate coldness in winter or when you are on the lift chairs. I also wear these pants alone in winter. It's black, fits well, soft, comfortable. Looks casual but good!

DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR
December 27, 2011

Like nearly all Arc’teryx products I’ve owned, these pants are high quality. Since I have an Atom LT jacket my expectations for these were pretty high. They looked great out of the box, but the size L were a couple of inches too short (I’m 6’ 0”). The shorter length is okay for wearing under something else, and since they aren’t bulky that works well. But for an outer layer they were just way too short for me. The general fit is okay, but the warmth doesn’t compare to my Mountain Hardware Compressor pants. If it’s not cold enough to wear the Compressors then I can just throw on a pair of heavy cotton sweatpants as a base layer for milder temps. Based on the price, and what I feel are very limited practical use situations for this product, they were returned.

Pros: Build quality, Cons: Cost
