Men's Epsilon SV Hoody 4.6 5 13 13
Epsilon SV Hoodie I bought this hoodie last year at Large at the time I was 5' 9 150. I am now 170 lbs and felt it was a small in the hood area in the large size. It was really nicely fitted so i kept it and recently i bought another one this time in extra large since i have gained some weight and it is perfect for me. The insides are lined with a warm material. It has a nice shell but it is not as wind proof as I would like but layering usually helps. It is very waterproof but not 100%. Overall I would recommend this jacket. November 20, 2011
Awesome Jacket! I was looking for that between season jacket and zeroed in on the Arcteryx Epsilon SV for several reasons. First, I needed something that had a bit of a liner on it. This jacket has it. Further, I wanted something Not Northface as it seems every yuppie in Annapolis wears it. Also, I like the athletic fit of Arcteryx's jackets (ideal for outdoor activities). Lastly, I needed a soft shell. I don't go out too much in down pours so when its a light to moderate rain, Arcteryx's shells are perfect. Recommend this jacket to all. May 22, 2011
Stylish jacket, but not for backcountry use This is definitely an around-town piece; it's clean and flattering, but not particularly wind- or water-resistant. Excellent hood design, but again, given the softshell material, hood utility is debatable, since you're not going to be wearing this in a downpour. As an urban layer for shoulder-season weather, it can't be beat; it's like a more functional, more structured version of the Arcteryx Fugitive hoody. Fit is trim, especially around the lower torso. Attractive casual jacket The Arcteryx Epsilon is a attractive jacket that is suitable for casual setting without the 'too technical' look. It offers wind protection but doesn't repel water very well. The seam aren't sealed and fabric do get wet when it rains heavy. The fleece wasn't very useful either and doesn't provide much warm. Arcteryx's jackets are expensive so choose wisely ;) when buying one, go for the best. If you are looking for something more technical, i would suggest the Arcteryx Alpha LT. May 13, 2011
this jacket is sweet. looks clean. not thick or for super cold weather but does well to block wind and keep warm in milder coldness. north face is overplayed so this makes a great alternative, is more expensive but owns a better, cleaner look. April 12, 2011
This jacket is more suitable for urban activities than outdoor. It could provide some basic performances: windproof, breathable and durable, etc. It does have a high quality. But it's not better than I thought. The reason is that it couldn't provide more warmth than I thought, Moreover, it fits me not very well. February 18, 2011
Awesome Jacket, It has many features. At first, like other Arc'teryx items, it has a high quality, secondly, It could provide much warmth while it is very breathable. Thirdly, It could provide windproof and is very suitable for bad weather in urban activities. I am satisfied with this jacket. February 9, 2011
Excellent jacket. It is very stylish and looks good. It fits right and highly recommended! January 19, 2011
Great outter layer Pretty decent jacket. Works very well with a few layers under it for windy cold days. This surprised me as it is thinner than I thought. Also used it as a rain jacket on a 60 degree day and didn't overheat. I'm 6'2''/175 and a large fits with enough room for layering but is not too bulky. Perfect sleeve length. The only issue I can report is that the hood fits a little awkward with glasses. Other than that, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a functional 3-season outer layer. Great jacket The jacket fits great in size L at 187 cm (6 ft, 2 inch) 86 kg/ 189 pound. The jacket has relatively tight fit and is quite short. I have used it both as midlayer insulation between a wool baselayer and gore-tex membrane shell, and I have used it as a casual jacket. It does not protect you from getting wet in a rainshower. Yet it gives some protection as a stand alone jacket from mild rain, colder days in the spring and fall, and it stops the wind as long as its no more than a mild breeze. As insulation layer it has good fit under the gore tex shell. Its tight fit makes it very comfortable in action on colder days. The jacket is very nice. Details are great. It seems to be very durable. October 25, 2010
