Must have
December 13, 2012
I am 170 cm, 70 kg and the small fits PERFECTLY. The size is also roomy enough to fit a fleece under it on chilly days. Overall, I am glad to get a softshell that is the perfect medium, it combines reasonable features such as wind resistance, water resistance and amazing breathability, with superior comfort, fit, great stretchiness and a sleek look to make an amazing softshell. It will keep you warm and dry during the strenuous exercise and prevent from overheating. Meaning, it will have much more temperature range versus the trendy ones.
Pros: Great design, Build qualityDecember 04, 2010
These are my favorite pants. Bought these for a trip to Wisconsin and on the plane out a drink spilled on my lap while wearing these and I was dry- water just rolled off them. These work great with a capilene 3 layer, very nice and warm.

AWESOME SOFTSHELL PANTS!
November 16, 2012
I immediately noticed the great quality from the very moment I opened my package. I'm 6'2 170lbs (32/32) and the medium/long fits just perfect. These are amazingly comfortable and true to size. Nice snug fit but with just enough room for an extra under layer.... Would definitely recommend to anyone who loves outdoor adventures.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Great valueOne of the best softshell pants out there

I am a big fan of Arc'teryx gear. These are definitely one of the best softshell pants. The fit is good; mobility is excellent; yet it is low key enough to wear them to work. These are really Arc'teryx classics. For 2011 model, they have changed the material, I am a bit concerned. Wondering why even make a change to a perfect thing? Anyhow, I still highly recommend these pants.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Cons: CostSuper Soft Shell

I love these pants. They are perfect for fast paced backcountry tours and also quick XC ski jaunts on local trails. Excellent stretch and breathability. They have a nice light insulation on the inside. I usually wear a 34 inch pant, but the large fits just fine. I think the medium would be too tight as the large fits perfectly. There is even room for a light to medium base layer if necessary. Buy these pants, you won't regret it.
Great classic pant

Arcteryx makes the highest quality gear, and best technical pants out there. I spent a long time looking for a pair of softshell pants for my husband that he could use for hiking on cold days and that are also warm and water-resistant enough for skiing. I eventually found the Gamma MXs. They are very comfortable, durable, lightweight, stylish, and waterproof! He loves this softshell pants for skiing. They breathe and regulate temperature well so he doesn't sweat like other pants. He also loves that they are very comfortable and material stretches so much. They're the only softshell pants with two large cargo pockets that are made with very flexible material. He can put his mask, gloves or anything else and they expand as he need. He is about 6'2" 195 lbs and I ordered XL, it give him a little loose fit. If I was looking for a tight fit, I would go for L.
Great technical pant

Technical fit and stretch material make this pant my favorite for back-country skiing and cold weather climbing. In any movement and condition they give you a great freedom of movement and tight fit. The lateral pockets design with very flexible material are the best seen on any pant. You can put your mask, gloves or anything else and they expand as you need yet they do not add any bulk to the design. As usual Arc'teryx has designed a great peace of equipment with a minimal yet effective approach. Last but not least, they have a great design. Pair them with Pac-Lite pants to be carried in your backpack for rain and storm conditions.

High quality pant

The softshell pant is warmer than my expectation. The Polartec Power Shield lightweight fabric is soft and warm. It shields wind and water. Regarding fit, my height is 5 ft. 10 in. and waist measurement 36 in. I bought the pant in size Large and I can wear a long thin underwear with it. Highly recommended product from Arcteryx.
Excellent softshell pants

This pants is comfortable to wear in cold weather situation because it can extend when you do activities. It also breathable, windproof, waterproof. And I hope it can be cheaper.
Great softshell

really like these softshell pants...bought them for a trip up Mt Rainer...they kept me warm on the mountain, and cool on our descent...they seem to fit true to size as im usually a medium, and that size fit me fine.
Pros: Great design, PerformanceA good pair of flexible pants
January 22, 2012
A good flexible and light weight pant that feels good against the skin. Insulation is just right for cool days, would definately need to layer on cold days. I plan on wearing the pants for travel - planes, trains and automobiles, hikes and walks, as well as lounging around the house. Waist fits true to size, the pants were a little baggier in the hips than I expected from an athletic fit. Length was long but that's why they invented tailors. Yes they are pricy but they appear to have an excellent build quality and have a really cool emblem. I would recommend these pants to a friend.
Pros: Great design, Cons: CostPerfect Ski Touring Pants
January 27, 2010
if you are someone who skins up and skis down these are the best softshell pants i've ever had. they breath on the way up. are think enough for just hanging out and having lunch with a puffy on. and for almost any condition they provide enough wind and cold protection. the thigh pockets are my favorite. fold over pockets with just an inch of velcro. i can get food out of them without taking my gloves off. they fit well. they have just enough inner cuff protection from your ski edge and they are super durable. in 2 seasons of skiing in these pants there has only be maybe 2 days i wished i had worn gortex. if it's super windy then more pant might be applicable. but for most days of skinning up and skiing down these are the perfect ski pants.
Great for ice climbing

These pants are great. I'm 5-9, 175 lbs. and the medium fits me skin tight. I have plenty of movement because they stretch very well. I really like the skin tight fit because there isn't any extra material to bunch up under a harness or for your crampons to get caught on.

Excellent pant for bc SKIING
November 25, 2009
Great fit and very good for BC skiing. I don't wear these for inbounds skiing, but for hut trips and peak bagging these cannot be beat.
