I have several pairs of these shorts. These are the only type I wear. Several well placed pockets, excellent water resistant weight and extremely sturdy.

These are great shorts, and I'm always looking for the next thing! These are absolutely perfect; zippers close and are secure especially for international travel. Also are water resistant! Beats Ex Officio!

These are great hiking and casual shorts. I purchased one size larger than what I normally wear. I normally wear a 36, but they were too small. Arc'teryx typically runs a little smaller. The 38 works great (A 37 would be ideal). The Palisade shorts are very comfortable and offer great ventilation and wicking properties in aerobic activities.

I was excited to get a couple of pairs of these shorts. I have the pants and the cropper pants as well and the croppers were just a little too warm to climb in during the summer. These shorts fit great under a harness and the zipper pockets don't interfere when racking gear. I agree that the third pocket seems a little useless but could be used for chapstick or a key I guess. Other than that I love the material and the fit, thanks for the prompt service altrec.

I have owned other long pants from Arc'teryx and shorts has the same quality construction. The fit is Just a little tighter than their long pants(size 32)around the hip area. The waist is fine. The inseam length is great, it is not too short and looks less technical which is good for walking around.

I'd like to see a come-back of the previous model. The small zipper on the right top is useless. These pants are great however and fast drying. Great light-weight gear and easy to take care of

I love these shorts. I do a lot of hiking, These shorts do well. The fabric is stretchy and durable, and the cut is slim but not constricting. Basically, perfect for doing just about anything in the warm weather. I have to remind myself not to wear these around the house. I even took these shorts surfing last weekend and they performed fine.

I have 3 pair of these shorts and love them. They really are designed for slender people and run a little small. The zippered pockets line up perfectly with my hands when my arms hang down. They dry quickly if you need to take a plunge and are cool to walk in as they are so light. The soft waist band liner is non abrasive and the built in belt is nice to cinch up when needed.
