Arcteryx makes the best gear period. I use my ultra light alpine harness Ice Climbing, trad & alpine. Love it so much I got this one for a loaner. It will work in all types of climbing.

Top of the line harness when you count on safety and performance arcteryx delivers. I have the model just before this one and I like how they made the belt portion a little thicker. Also I like the adjustability of the leg harness. It feels comfortable on and there isn't any part that digs into my body. I have an athletic build, I'm 5'9 180 lbs and tried the medium first but felt more comfortable with the large.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

Great Harness
February 17, 2009

I have had this harness over a year, and it has caught me on many lead falls. It is still in great condition, and despite how thin and light it is, it's surprisingly durable. Also when climbing you hardly notice its there. It is more comfortable than my old BD momentum hardness, but I doubt it can compare to a big wall harness.

Excellent harness. Light and really strong. Definitely worth it.

I haven't been happier with the harness.

It is always so exciting for me to purchase a new piece of arcteryx equipment - the thoughtful touches to every detail, simple, elegant improvements to some of the most time tested designs. I am new to climbing but appears to be very well designed with ample waist adjustment. I am 6'1'' 200lbs with a 35'' waist, I had to snug the waist belt down almost all the way, which is how I wanted it to fit so there is ample room for cold weather layers.

Best harness ever had.

Very light and comfortable. Perfect wear without any hot spots. Also comfortable during longer time sitting in the harness in multi pitch routes. Best harness ever had. Gear loops are well positioned.

best one yet

This is by far the most comfortable harness I have ever worn. I was a reluctant buyer, this thing is expensive, but the fit was great. All the reviews out there that state: "I forgot I had it on" are accurate. My first weekend out with this thing, I put it on for the first and took it off after the last climb of the day. I wore it while hiking with a 40lb pack on, waist belt buckled. While climbing it is amazingly comfortable, stays in place. I haven't worn it on really long climbs yet but I am sure it would do great. Overall amazing, well worth the price, even if it means one less cam you can buy.

Lightweight and comfortable harness!
April 29, 2011

Purchased to replace my old canyoneering harness to gain comfort during extended belays. Very Comfortable right out of the box. Easily adjustable leg and waist straps. I really like the design of the gear loops, they handle a full rack with ease.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

Great, light weight harness

Very, very light harness. Not a whole lot of padding. Perfect for sport climbing and single pitch type stuff. Very durable as well!!! True to the description for sizing. 32 inch waist is medium. Looks good on as well!!!!!!

Well made, well designed, well thought out. Some Arcteryx products have recently leaned towards the nice but so so category....this harness keeps the tradition of perfection alive.
