Awesome Shirt
June 18, 2012
The Skyline may be my favorite shirt, smart enough to wear to casual day at work, but rugged enough to hit the trails. Breathes well, sheds moisture and built with typical Arc'teryx quality. I have both long and short sleeve versions, hoping the blue comes back out in long sleeves! Great for travel, folds/rolls up compact, can be washed in sink or shower and dry the next day.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, PerformanceThe Go-to Shirt

I was looking for the sort of shirt that could be worn for just about any occasion -- while commuting on my bicycle, at work, at home, hanging out, etc. This one fits the bill. I'm a little touchy about fitted shirts, but the fit of this shirt is perfect. The material feels good against the skin and is both durable and resistant to wrinkles. The buttons are a particularly nice touch -- they snap instead of button -- and so the shirt is very easy to get on and off. It's an expensive shirt, but worth it.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: CostOne of Arcteryx' Best Efforts

What I noticed about this shirt initially is how thin the material is and how well it drapes, almost like a natural fiber. Whether its an attribute of the material, its lightweight or both the shirt breathes very well for a synthetic top (I find that a cotton or natural fiber top breathes better). Another thing that became instantly clear to me was the simplicity of its construction, lending itself to an extreme degree of comfort under a pack. The zippered breast pocket has a very low profile zip that is functional while remaining unobtrusive, it doesnt chafe, irritate of get in your way but its there if you need. I also find that the fit is excellent. I purchased size medium. I have found, at least for my body type this shirt fits exceptionally well. Im about 510 190lbs, I do some limited weight training so I have increased girth in the chest and arms, and this shirt accommodates my build very well, not feeling tight or restrictive. There is no undue tress on any seems of the snaps; I can actually say that I would love for all my button front shirts to fit this well. I often wear some sort of lightweight merino or natural fiber top under this shirt, and still fits very well. Overall this is an excellent shirt, and should provide the wearer years of use. Ive had mine for quite some time not and it has shown no discernable wear. The enamel on the snaps has shown very little discernable wear after repeated washings and the fabric has shown no fading or ill effects associated with said washings. Overall a very good top.

When I put it summer, I totally do not feel it's there, it's very comfortable, and I sweat can quickly drain away. Next year I will buy the second piece.

ometimes you buy a shirt for purpose. Sometimes for style... or comfort. This shirt meets all requirements and is a must for your travel wardrobe. I have it in black, abyss blue AND light carbide. Lightweight and casual on the hiking trail, while classy and stylish enough for work casual or a night out for dinner.. As with all Arc'Teryx gear... Quality is superb. Try it... You'll like it!

i like the fabric, smooth and comfort plus upf protection that goes protect skin from sun, the only thing that little bothering me is the fit seem little small/short on the sleeves anyway i love this shirt. You could wear it on hiking, in town or casual shirt at dinner table.

ARCTERYX SKYLINE SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT MEN'S

I first used my Arcteryx Skyline shirts (1 long sleeve and 1 short sleeve) on a 800-kilometres trek across Spain (yes, it's called the Way of St. James in English, or Santiago de Compostella in Spanish). What's great about those shirts is that they not only look great, but they dry super-fast and require no ironing. They are perfectly suited for backpacking, as you only need to take a couple with you and rotate one with the other daily. In warm weather, I've been able to observe that these shirts will be totally dry after only 2-3 hours. I would wash my day-use shirt after each daily hike and wear the other shirt in the evening. I was on my trek for 45 days and just two shirts were enough! I highly recommend these shirts.

I put this shirt through a hot day in NYC. The temperature was in the low 90's and I was comfortable. The amazing thing is that the shirt doesn't have a vent or pit zip. I don't know how ARC'TERYX keep coming up with the goods, this shirt is a must if U really appreciate a good looking technical shirt! My only regret is I should've bought a couple of long sleeve Skyline shirts as well!
super sexy shirt

Bought this shirt for casual wear, not for hiking. Live in Fla where it is hot and humid. Lightweight and very good at wicking moisture. There are no buttons...they are snaps. I am 6' and weigh 190 and an XL fit me perfectly.
Great Product

Awesome shirt

Excellent wicking material, very smooth, feels more like silk than polyester. Mollusk color is a bit more purple in real life than it appeared on the website. Regardless, I am happy with how it looks overall. Excellent at keeping cool in hot, sweaty conditions. This shirt has an athletic fit, which is great if you're athletic ;) Pricey, but because it has quickly become a favorite shirt of mine, I consider it worth the price.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: CostVery cool shirt
