It is very comfortable and warm. I like it very much. The design of concise style, and only a logo on it, which attracted me. I love the black one. I believe that I will have a warm winter.

I own this beanie in all three colors. Not only does it protect my ears and head from freezing temperatures but it also is light weight to carry around in any jacket pocket. You'll be amazed at the quality.

like my new Arcteryx Rho gaitor (or it is gaiter?). Why? Because it's super soft and comfortable for a wool knit and not scratchy like others I have worn. What's better, it's lightweight and not bulky, so you get the warmth without feeling strangled. I got it in black so it goes with everything- the additional cool little bird logo was just icing on the cake (or is it frosting?).
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performancethe product is excellent

I showered the internet looking for a lightweight, yet warm and also good looking neck gator. The Arcteryx neck gator was the best one I found. It also passed the most critical test of them all. When Chris, my 15 year old son saw me remove it from the box, I knew it passed the, It looks cool test and when he asked to ,borrow it when he went snowboarding the next weekend and he said it worked, great, I knew it passed the ultimate test. Now I'll have to buy another one for myself.

What does it take to change your mind?

I said, "Don't like being cold." I also said, "I refuse to wear anything around my neck." I went on to say, "I will not wear anything that makes me look like a dork." She said, "Try it for me!" It really does help me to stay warmer on the coldest days. It is soft and hardly noticeable around my neck. MY friend said, "Where did you get that neck thing?" She said, "I love you." I said, "I love you too."
Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, helps keep you warm, soft around your neck, makes her smile when i wear itAlready own the Arc'teryx Rho LTW Neck Gaitor? Tell us your thoughts.

Great looks and quality, but I can't use it! It feels like the noose and chokes me to the point of feeling sick. I have a Columbia that was $15 cheaper and works great. I have it stretched around a lamp shade right now so maybe it will loosen up some.
Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: Bad designDid you recently buy the Arc'teryx Rho LTW Neck Gaitor? Write a review.
Good Neck Gaitor
November 24, 2010
With all Arc'Teryx products you are going to get great quality -- and this neck gaitor keeps that assumption true. However, I wish it was a bit thicker. It is about the thickness of a scarf, but I was hoping for more. Some neck gaitors that the military have more heft, but they are made of synthetic materials, not cotton. If Arc'Teryx made a thicker cotton gaitor, it would be perfect for my needs. However it is still a good product.
Pros: Build qualityWorth The Money

Awesome material. Soft, but durable and warm. It has performed very well during night snowboarding in wind and low teen temps.
Best I have every owned!!!

Absolutely love it. I have used it for 2 seasons already and it still is like new. Extremely warm and lightweight. As for fit, I am 6'3 185 and it fits fine! Knocks the wind out and feels comfy as could be. If and when this one ever wears out I will definately buy another. Already thinking of buying one or two more just to have if they ever stop making them.
Solid for non-windy conditions
December 20, 2009
Nice thin wool gaiter helps keep neck warm. But, if your intent is to pull up for a face shield / half balaclava, it does not help much in windy conditions.
NICE Neck Gaitor

Gators for the family
January 06, 2012
I bought 4 of these gators for our whole family. My 5 year old daughter loves the light blue one. Her only problem with it is keeping track of it. The wool is warm but not itchy. They have even made it into the normal wash cycle with no negative effects although that is not recommended. Can't go wrong with arcteryx in general.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great valueStretches easily!
February 17, 2010
At first it was a little tight so for the first day I wore it as a hat to stretch it out a little. Loosened right up and the second day I wore it blocked the wind and was very breathable! Cover me in merino wool!

Worth Getting
January 05, 2009
Very light and comfortable. For the weight, it kept my face surprisingly warm in 20 degree weather (0 after windchill). This fits tighter than other gaiters I've tried on, but is pretty elastic. Definitely recommend.

Too tight like others reviewers said.
January 10, 2012
The quality is there,is soft and it seems better quality than the smartwool one, doesn't look like is pilling after several days of use, contrary to the other wool gaiter from the other popular wool company that i had,but like others reviewers have said is too tight! I have a 14.5 inch neck and it's a little bit tight,i can live with it,but i wish i wasn't like that,it be perfect, hopefully it stretches eventually. It's relatively thick, solid,a little overprice for what it is,i guess you pay for just a name brand.
Pros: Build quality, Performance, Cons: CostBest product ever
February 13, 2012
Love it, used many times already, comfortable material to wear around neck an face, from going for a hike to snowboarding. I love Arcteryx, price is a little high but well worth it, you won't need to replace it for years, like I had with other products in the past.
Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, very comfortable materialLovely~

Too tight!
December 13, 2011
I have a 17 inch neck and this gaitor basically chokes me. It's the smallest I've ever seen, and I have about four neck gaitors, and never had this problem with any others. Tighter than a turtle neck sweater. If you want it to fit tightly and wear it as a baselayer around your neck, then it's good, but just be away that it has a tight fit.
Pros: it's merino, Cons: Cost, Bad design, tiny/small fita long lost friend found
November 27, 2009
i have been searching for a replacement for my long lost neck gaiter and am so happy i stumbled on the Arc...i tested it out on a windswept outing and very pleased with how it kept the wind at bay....used it as a hat and to seal off the neck...nice and snug, it is what i wanted in a neck gator....i think it is one of the most important and versatile pieces of gear...thanks BC for having it on sale....bhw
