Description

For the ultimate in lightweight, packable wind protection, reach for the Arcteryx Squamish Hoody. This ultra-light wind jacket is perfect for day hikes, lofty summits and anytime you'd prefer to travel light. The Squamish Hoody actually packs down and stows inside its zippered chest pocket for super easy travel convenience. There is no need to weigh yourself down with a full storm shell at all times. This compressible wind shell is easy insurance against fickle mountain weather. The ripstop nylon material is treated for weather resistance and is inherently durable. The cut is relaxed and suitable for men and women, and the hem extends far enough to provide good seat coverage when needed. You get a great hood and Velcro adjustable cuffs to help seal out the wind. The Arcteryx Squamish Hoody is decidedly no-frills, but its ultra-light utility is big on convenience.

Feather weight jacket
March 12, 2011

This ultra light weight jacket feels like you are wearing nothing. It packs in its own chest pocket and takes up hardly any Room. Also, this wind jacket does a good job blocking the wind.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
Cons: Cost

Invisible Jacket

About sizing, note that this jacket tends to be a bit narrow around the hips. And consider what you are going to wear underneath. That determines what size you need. I found that with just a t-shirt on, this jacket was true to my size that I usually wear with Arcteryx clothing. Features: I like the chest pocket and the option of wearing a hood. I also like the bulkier kind of zipper, rather than the flimsy one on the Celeris. The wrist cuffs on this jacket are a bit looser than the Celeris. And the jacket does stuff easily into the chest pocket.

Pros: Ease of use

It's a great product
October 14, 2010

I'd been looking for a decent hooded windshirt for a while, and this seemed to be just the thing I was after. I have a number of softshells, but I wanted something lighter for days when I wouldn't be doing too much technical climbing but wanted something to keep the weather out. This one is very light and wind-protect, it also has a hoody. Choosing Arcteryx jacket will never regret.

Arc 'teryx is correct.
September 14, 2010

It becomes small very much, and is light. Rain is also cool, except for no long time. Of course, the wind is interrupted. It is the highest. It is likely to always enter my backpack.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

Great
August 04, 2010

Great jacket, and typical Arcteryx quality. I was choosing between it and the Patagonia Houdini. Ended up selecting the Arcteryx as the fit was a little looser, which allows for easier layering. I also prefer the velcro cuffs to the Houdini's elastic cuffs. The Houdini might be an ounce lighter, but the extra features of the Squamish more than makes up for it.

Appreciate the Hoody!
July 31, 2010

I am pleased with this lightweight jacket and it has met my expectations. My only complaint is the single pocket. Why not two regular pockets? It is water resistant and a perfect jacket to take along just in case the weather changes. I appreciate the option that the hoody provides.

Awesome Jacket
May 05, 2010

It's so high-quality shell, same with other Arc'teryx Jacket. I believe its advantages are light weight and very easy to put it into my backpack, most of all, its price is so low in Arc'teryx Brand. I like it very much.
