luv the Atom LT Hoodie ! Been wearing it since I got it. Great feminine fit. (got the large on black I am 5 feet 6 inches 138 lbs) The jacket is so soft, light and comfy. Not bulky in both feel and appearance unlike most insulated jacket. This is my second ArcTeryx jacket and like the first one, I am very happy with it.

January 14, 2011

I have had this jacket for over a year, it quickly became an every day every event jacket. Keeps you warm for almost any weather and not to bulky to bring everywhere. Great for active outdoor use, slim fitting but does not feel tight. Arcteryx is ushaly more expensive but you get what you pay for in there products.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

Agree all great aspects, ran bit small for me
July 18, 2012

I agree with all of the wonderful things other reviewers have written about this jacket. I purchased it in Jacaranda blue, a gorgeous periwinkle with darker blue accents. It is so lightweight, packs down very small, but warm and overall terrific design. I also purchased the Rho AR top from Arcteryx in the same purchase/color to go with it and it's a great combo! I am just adding to the reviews as I am 5'5" About 130 and usually wear a size 8-10 on top which the sizing chart says is a medium which is what I usually order in most items for tops and jackets. However, I find this is a bit tight across the chest to the point I considered exchanging for a size large. I just checked the website and the chest measurement for the medium is 37 and I am a size 36B, thus if you have concerns re the fit across the chest, I would recommend sizing up. The large chest size is 40. They are out if large, this has side stretch panels and I plan to layer under a shell so decided to keep the medium but if they had the large, I would consider trying it. Just a note as I usually don't have this issue with items sized 8-10. Otherwise love everything about this jacket!

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Great value, great brand, lightweight, Cons: tight across chest in my size

Great Jacket!
June 28, 2011

This is a great lightweight jacket to take as a layering piece on trips. It packs really small, but still provides a lot of warmth! The bondi blue is a nice bright colour and I get compliments on it all the time. The jacket feels very soft and luxurious! The stretch panels on the sides make it super comfortable and great for activities during the spring and fall months.

Pros: Great design, Performance, comfortable, versatile

I really like this jacket !
December 16, 2010

After buying this jacket in blue I decided I needed a black one too. It's very lightweight and keeps me warm down to the thirties, or further if I layer. I'm 5/4, weigh 125, and have slightly longish arms, so I needed a large. Love that the pockets zip, and that there is an inner pocket that zips as well. Mostly I like the fit, the weight, and the styling.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use

great fit and really comfy
January 06, 2010

I especially love the elastic at the wrists, which keeps the wind from getting up my sleeves. Great for layering; with a 100 weight fleece under it, I felt good walking in 20 degree weather. The full hood also accommodates a scarf underneath without choking. Overall, I've been very satisfied with this jacket.

Fabulous jacket, very flattering fit thanks to side stretch panels, extremely comfortable and light, used it for alpine touring so far and worked great. Hood fits well and jacket is comfortable even when zipped all the way up, doesn't cause "choking" feeling, super comfy and good looking sleeve cuffs. Don't expect it to be very warm, it's to be layered or used for high intensity activities or in warmish/cool weather. Haven't tested its water repellency yet, but its wind resistant properties work ok.

Surprisingly warm
December 27, 2011

This jacket is extremely light and packs so small, but is surprisingly warm for its size! It seemed to run slightly smaller than the atom SV. The side panels are made of a fleece so they would be good for when your are active. I love the way arcteryx makes the underarm gussets so that you can lift up your hands without moving the jacket.

Pros: Great design, Build quality

I just wanted to say how happy I am with my new jacket, I love the way how it fits and feels. I ordered both sizes M and L and actually went with size M even though at beginning I thought I would need larger. Anyway girls and boys (thay have it in Mans too) you need to get this one for sure. All year round jacket. :-) :-) :-)

Perfect 2-3 season everyday/everywhere companion
February 05, 2012

The Women's Arc'teryx Atom LT Hoody is the perfect jacket for the spring, fall, and winter seasons. It's lightly insulated with CoreLoft and there are 2 panels of Polartec Power Stretch, on the left and right, to help breathability when the cardio kicks up a bit. When the weather is chilly but Father Winter hasn't quite made his presence felt, it's a great piece of light outerwear that'll keep you warm and comfy on it's own with a t-shirt underneath. Then when things start to get really cold, it can perform as the perfect mid-layer! The fit is definitely athletic. My girlfriend is 5'2" 100lbs athletic and she wears a x-small and it's a perfect fit. My girlfriend love, love love this jacket!

Very Happy With This Purchase
January 16, 2012

I am constantly on the go, inside, outside, biking, walking, running errands, packing kids around, ect. I was looking for a lightweight coat with great warmth for our below freezing winters. I didn't want something real big. This coat is awesome! It keeps me warm even when I leave the pool with wet hair on a 20 degree day. I can move and do whatever activity I'm in the middle of, I don't feel restricted or bound up in a big puffy coat! I'm 5'5" and 120lbs and the small fit good. I could probably wear an xs but I like the extra amount of room. Worth the $$$.

lite and comfortable jacket
March 20, 2011

i just got this and couldn't wait to wear it. I read all the reviews for this jacket and it was highly rated.I wore it shopping and sat outside at lunch.it was in the low fifties and I was warm.I had a tee shirt on underneith and was not cold at all.I'm not sure if it's something that would be warm enough in the snow but it's warm ,lite and very comfortabe for the city.I would highly recommend this jacket,oh and did I mention that it has a nice cut and flattering, not boxy like a lot of jackets out there.I was actually looking to buy the patagonia nano jacket.I was disappointed when I tried one on.it was boxy and the sleeves were four inches too long.I'm glad I passed on that one and got the atom jacket instead .I'm getting one for my husband for his birthday.I'm sure he will love it too.one last thing, some of the reviews state that this jacket runs small,I don't agree ,Iwear a large and I find it to be acurate in size.the sleeves are half inch longer then my arm but I tucked it under instead of rolling it up.it stayed put and actually looked good that way, without the wrist band showing.get one before altrec runs out!

Warm but Light as feather
April 19, 2011

Arc'teryx is new to me; I was looking for a light weight jacket which is not bulky.. After reading viewers recommendations, I took a risk ordering this expensive jacket. Love the elastic side panels which makes me look slimmer; Medium fit perfectly; this is not an ordinary jacket; Thanks to viewers advice; I got a cardi too... Love Arc'teryx...

Greatest Jacket I've ever had!
April 27, 2010

It's light, durable and so comfort. I love the hood, it's not clumsy but warm and stylish.

Love this jacket!
June 08, 2010

Putting this jacket on is like slipping into a sleeping bag. It is warm, lightweight and super comfy. Features I love are the elastic cuffs, body-hugging design, hood, and very stylish. So happy that the sleeves are long enough for my arms. Most jackets come up short, forcing me to choose a larger ill-fitting jacket.

It is a jacket I don't want to take off again. The material is so soft and fits perfectly the body contours like a second skin. I was wearing the Atom LT on a hiking trip today where it had 30°F and just to make sure carried another hardshell jacket in my backpack but I did not need it at all. Wonderful piece for any outdoor activity in spring, fall and winter!

Lightweight and warm
January 02, 2011

I searched high and low for a jacket I could wear on cold morning walks, and this was the winner. It is extremely light and very warm, just right over a turtleneck. The hood has plenty of room and allows optimum visibility. The cuffs are soft and secure but non-binding and the drawstring at the hem allows a custom fit. It hits at low hip, long enough to cover my rear, though I wouldn't have minded another inch or two. It fits a little small. I'm 5'5", 128 pounds and the large is just right. The only complaint I have is that there is no chest or sleeve pocket for my iPod.

Great insulated jacket, It's so light in weight, soft and breathable, I think it 's very suitable as a middle layer. although it is not thick for very cold winter, I feel warm and very comfy when it is combined with hardshell . Moreover, I like its design and it looks so stylish.

Great Layering Piece
September 11, 2012

This jacket is super light and really warm. It's more fitted and less puffy than it looks in pictures. I got the small (5'6" 115 lbs) and it fits close with not much room for any bulky layers underneath. I have long arms and the sleeves are perfect and the cut is not too short--hits me a few inches below my hip bones. I'm a huge fan of Arcteryx and I can't wait to use this jacket this fall and winter.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance
