Description

You get cozy good looks in the Arcteryx Covert Hoody for women. This super-functional mid-weight fleece hoody is equally at home kicking back après ski as it is as a technical insulation layer in the mountains. Regardless, the Polartec® Thermal Pro fleece fabric's traditional wool-knit appearance offers a refreshing alternative to the standard fuzzy fleece look, and its flattering cut helps you look great. This warm fleece jacket serves up a serious cozy factor. The dense weave rivals the warmth of any fleece sweater you can find. Yet, its breathability and quick drying nature mean it performs skiing or hiking, too. The full zip front provides great venting and easy on and off wear. You will appreciate this cozy fleece hoody any time you need to ward off a chill. The Arcteryx Covert Hoody for women is sure to become a favorite do-it-all piece in your wardrobe.

Buy this jacket!
December 19, 2009

Great product - consistent with the quality one expects from Arc'teryx. Warm and cozy but still technical. Very versatile - can wear around town as stand alone jacket or use as a warm technical layer under a shell. Love the jacket and love dealing with Altrec!

Very Nice

Very functional and great looking. Great for layering or on it's own when it's not windy.

Great Hoody
February 08, 2011

This is one of my favorite hoodies. The fit is great, not bulky, but streamlined. But not tight. The hood is a cool shape, it fits very well and snug under my snowboarding helmet, without being too bulky. There isn't much wind protection, but its a great as a light jacket or layering under your snow jacket. The fabric is very breathable too.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: pills easily

Cozy

I LOVE this hoodie! It fits nicely, is comfortable and is so soft. I've worn it to work and just hanging around the house to keep cozy. I'm looking forward to wearing it a lot more next Fall and Winter!

Love!
January 17, 2011

I purchased this to wear as a midlayer for skiing, but it is so comfortable and cosy that I don't want to take it off. It's stylish, too, so I can wear around town. I have noticed some pilling on the sleeves after just a few wearings, which is a bummer, but I still love the hoody. I bought the darker blue color and it is very attractive. I like that it doesn't look like a regular fleece - more like a sweater

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost, pilling

worth the price
March 24, 2010

It's a very soft, warm and cushy jacket even though it's not windproof. Therefore it's not really a functional layer but it certainly keeps you warm. It's definitely not cheap but it's worth the money.

Love this top
January 08, 2010

I love this top, it keeps you extremely warm for the weight. I've also worn the Patagonia capilene heavy weight underwear, and this top is much warmer than the patagonia stuff. The fit is pretty tight, size S is usually loose on me, and the size S here is quite snug.

love it

very soft and cozy, keeps me warm too. fits well and good looking.

Awesome!

I bought this after trying it on at a local store. I LOVED it and the price couldn't be beat. It's extremely comfortable and I wouldn't leave home without it.

Couldn't get any better than Arc'teryx!
May 25, 2010

I love Arc'teryx and almost everything I own is from them. Unfortunately, I have to give this product only 4 stars but not because of performance. I bought this hoody in the raisin color a couple years ago and it started to pill almost immediately. I also have a cat and I can never seem to "roll" the darn hairs off of it. It's as if they are permanently stuck to the fabric resulting in a hoody that looks like I just rubbed my cat all over my coat before leaving the house (I only wear it around the house now). Besides those darn little fabric balls (I have tried shaving them off with one of those pill removers and it just doesn't seem to work that well) and cat hairs, I love this hoody to death. The quality is fantastic as usual with anything from Arc'teryx. I wear a size S in athletic fitting items from Arc'teryx and a size XS in relaxed fitting items (5'2", 125 lbs, athletic build). A size S fits perfectly (I usually only wear a t-shirt underneath it). So, if you need something awesome and great looking to wear on those cooler days and nights, buy this hoody! You'll be happy you did!

great cardigan
January 25, 2012

I must love this hoody as I have several in different colors. It is a great piece for layering with a hard or softshell jacket, and great stand alone piece for mild weather. Not at all windproof or water repellent, but very warm if you aren't dealing with those issues. Although Arcteryx is now making most of their items in China, not Canada, the quality seems to have remained the same. It runs a tad smaller than other brands, so go up in size if you want a little room and are on the upper cusp of a size. Pilling is an issue with my black colored hoody, we will see if this is the case for this color. My other colors don't pill, but I don't wear them as much as my black one. Nice item otherwise.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost, might pill

Great
February 17, 2010

This is a great hoody. My only complaint is the price. Watch for when it goes on sale. Also, it isn't windproof, but works great as layer under something that is.

too short
October 07, 2010

The coat is great quality, but unfortunatly it was too short and I had to return it. I loved the purple color and the material the jacket is made out of, but I'm 5'7" and the Medium barely even made it to my waist. The M size is not consistent with other Arc'teryx coats I've tried on.

Pros: Build quality, Cons: Bad design

Arc'teryx Hoody
May 08, 2009

I have had this jacket 12 months and love it. It is extremely warm but I have been really disappointed with the way it has pilled right from the first few wearings. It spoils the smart appearance of the jacket therefore making it less versatile.

Live in it all winter...
January 16, 2011

I have the lighter color and absolutely love it! I basically wear it all winter. The quality is great and it feels so soft. Highly recommend it. I will be buying another when this one wears out. Although, I have had it for 3 years and it still looks great considering how much I wear it.

Pros: Build quality, Lasts forever, Cons: Cost

Arc'teryx
September 02, 2011

This jacket does run small. I'm 5'9 and I got a large and it fits well except for being shorter than I like. I would have gotten a medium if I had known that the only difference in size was how it would fit, not how much of my torso it covered. Overall, it's incredibly warm and I love the color.

nice jacket
December 10, 2010

Comfortable jacket. But the Jackets have a problem. Jackets do not stop the wind. I feel the cold wind blows a lot.

Altrec is great but the hoody is all right
January 28, 2010

Big fan of Arcteryx. For the price, I expected a better quality. The hoody rides up. It is a lint magnet. I got it in black. It pills really quickly.

Good buy
February 02, 2010

Great shirt, great price, Arcteryx sizing chart seems consistently true to size.

Great hoody!
February 27, 2011

I have this hoody in a number of colours (raisin, basmati, green tea, ember, fuscia) and love it. I'm 5'7" and about 135 lbs and wear a large as I wanted to be able to wear a layer underneath. They are lightweight, cozy and warm, but definitely not wind or water resistant. They are great on an average fall or spring day, but only as a nice layering piece for colder days. They are nice and fluffy when new, but do tend to flatten down over time. I wash mine on the delicate cycle with zero and then lay flat to dry which probably keeps them looking new longer and avoids most of the pilling. I've found that the lighter and/or brighter colours tend to look new longer, while the darker colours (e.g. raisin) look a bit faded over time. All in all, a bit pricey (given that I like my clothes to look new forever!) but love having them as a part of my wardrobe!
