If your typical post-season tally of days on the mountain is usually in the double or even triple digit range, then the rugged Arc'teryx Women's Sidewinder SV Pant is just what you're looking for. The SV stands for severe, meaning the Sidewinder is built to stand up to back-to-back days on ski patrol, nasty weather, and rolling around in the snow when instructing the peewee class. The pant even has thigh vents to dump excess heat if you find yourself doing a little climbing or spring conditions get a little toasty. Made with 480N GORE-TEX® 3 Layer Pro, this latest and greatest generation of GORE-TEX® is lightweight and breathable, yet offers durable waterproofing and abrasion resistance that's better than ever. Laminated zippers on the thigh vents and hand pockets not only seal out moisture but they are stronger, less bulky, and lighter weight than the sewn variety. Waist adjusters let you fine tune the fit and a gusseted crotch, articulated knees, and articulated seat make sure the Sidewinder SV Pant moves with you whether ripping turns, setting a course, or participating in a rescue.

Great Pants
These pants look good on, and better yet, they are very functional. They keep me dry always, and are lightweight. They have both elastic and a hook at the bottom (like the hook most gaiters have) to keep them down around my boot. Waterproof zippers work flawlessly. All around great pants.

everything i expect from a snow pant
I am very happy with these pants. I use them while snowboarding together with a fleece pant. This pair keep me warm and dry. I mean very DRY. I've never felt too warm in them but if I had, I'd use the zippers on both side too cool off. They have a very good cut and they look very good.

Great Pants
These pants look good on, and better yet, they are very functional. They keep me dry always, and are lightweight. They have both elastic and a hook at the bottom (like the hook most gaiters have) to keep them down around my boot. Waterproof zippers work flawlessly. All around great pants.

Pants are great! Just won't stay snapped. Drove me crazy!
I love the pants! They kept me very dry. My only issue is that they have a faulty snap. There is plenty of wriggle room in the waist, but every time I bend, the snap pops open, and my pants are then sliding off. This really hampered some of my skiing until I got a safety pin. I plan to take them in to someone who can add an additional button closure to prevent this problem from recurring.
