Fitted cuffs, long tail, arcteryx quality.
March 08, 2011

So far, I've only taken this jacket out for 3 hikes and washed it once. I cannot comment on if it will pill (which was my biggest complaint for my '09 arcteryx fleece cardigan). My favorite feature of this jacket has been the fitted cuffs, which layer nicely under gloves. They also block wind from channeling up the sleeves. The cuffs fit my large wrists w/out applying any pressure to my skin - they're extremely comfortable. They would not allow for gloves to easily be layered under the cuffs (this might not be the case if you have smaller wrists). The other notable feature of this jacket is it's overall length. I have a short torso, so the jacket comes well past my waist. The back has a tail that provides more coverage for when you're in a bent over position. The tail does peak out from under my arcteryx beta AR rain jacket. Living in WA though, I tend to have on rain pants if I have on a rain jacket, so I just tuck the fleece into the pants to solve the problem. As for the overall size, I'm a petite size 4/6 and ordered a small. There is a fair amount of room in both the arms and the torso - I could easily fit another layer of fleece under the jacket. This fit looks good but I have to be careful on gusty days that I tuck layers in to prevent air from gusting up the torso. Overall, I'm extremely happy w/the jacket's quality - pretty standard for what I expect from arcteryx.

super comfy jacket
February 15, 2011

Love this coat. Actually a nice fleece jacket and does not pill. It is nice and thin yet warm so it can be layered easily. The fit is athletic (shows a waistline) and it is nice and long. Longer than another Arcteryx fleece I have. I only wish there were more color options. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Great Fleece
January 21, 2011

Bought this as a birthday gift for my sister. She hasn't stopped thanking me for it since I gave it to her 2 weeks ago!! She loves it and says it is the nicest fleece style jacket she has ever worn. Arcteryx makes high quality clothing that can cost a lot of money. Nice fleece jacket
September 30, 2011

I'm 5'2'' and 105lb and usually wear xs but bought a small jacket this time so as that I can wear a thick base layer or a sweater, and even though I wear them, it has enough room so I can move arms comfortably, and the layers do not move together when I wear this jacket. This is very good as I had to adjust underwear either to pull them down or twist to the opposite side when I wear other fleece jackets but I didn't this time with this Jacket. Color good, design awesome and very versatile. Highly likely I wear it all the time when doing outdoor sports as well as when going to work from late Fall thru early Spring. Very nice fleece jacket I've tried so far.

got this jacket to give as a gift and was able to get it on sale. upon getting the product, the jacket itself was thin and light but was amazingly warm to the feel. could not believe how a thin jacket could be so high tech. i am now buying one for myself too.

Women's Strato Jacket

Great Layering piece for my Alpha SL jacket. The cuffs work great and do not bunch under the other jacket. the contrast color on the Strato matches my Alpha perfectly.
