In fact, this year's version is significantly lighter than in years past, offering a greater level of comfort and packability. Crammed with features to satisfy even the most hardcore mountaineer or backcountry skier, the Arc'teryx Theta AR Jacket makes up for any excess weight this may add by employing industry leading innovations, such as micro seam allowances and tiny GORE-TEX® seam taping. But toughness and saving weight isn't all that this jacket is about. Waist and hem drawcords, articulated elbows, and no-lift gusseted underarms allow for full range of motion while blocking cold drafts and spindrift. Laminated zippers and bonded soft grommets contribute to the jacket's supple feel, and the one hand pull cords are exceedingly convenient when one hand is busy tending to a belay.
