Description

Whether you're battling a winter blast during analpine climb or skiing the deep backcountry, the Arc'teryx Theta SL Jacket - Women's combines superlight Gore-Tex PacLite with durable Gore-Tex XCR to bock the elements. The best of lightweight, breathable and packable, the Theta SL is reinforced at the shoulders to resist pack abrasion, while keeping the bells-'n'-whistles to a minimum. Its two front pockets are set high, so they are free of your harness and pack's waist-belt as waterproof underarm zips vent off excess body heat when putting in a big effort. The Theta SL Jacket's hood fits over your helmet, and its shell length provides full Arcteryx protection in the nastiest of mountain storms.

A gorgeous coat!
January 25, 2011

Well made, Gore tex and waterproof protection to boot. Unfortunately had to return the item because the jacket came only to the waist, I needed something longer for cold weather.

Pros: Great design, Build quality

Theta SL Women's jacket
April 27, 2010

I love the jacket for all the same reasons everyone else does but am exchanging it because the hood is about 1" shorter because of the hood pocket. It doesn't quite cover by bike helmet.

Great model
March 22, 2011

The jacket is just as described. I chose this one because I didn't need a hood that would fit over a helmet and liked the fact that the hood could roll up in the collar...altho I do find it stiff behind my neck when it is in there, so mostly I leave the hood out. I also like the fact that this model goes to the thigh. Altho I am small, I got a large so that it would go over my down jacket (which it does), yet doesn't feel too big with just a shirt underneath. If you can get an older color in a size that fits, Altrec gives a great price on a usually very expensive item.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance, Ease of use, Great value

GREAT SHELL
December 02, 2010

This super light weight shell is going to be used for everything! I used it last weekend in a San Francisco downpour to stay nice and dry while at the farmers market and I'll be using it as the top layer on bluebird ski days. No insulation but great waterproofing, good ventilation and decent wind stopping. I'm thrilled with this jacket and look forward to using it on a whole bunch of adventures. I'm 5'10' and 125 lbs, got the small and it is perfect with room for layers beneath.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Ease of use, Cons: Cost

Excellent casual and rain jacket!
April 06, 2011

It’s very light; portable and fordable. It is a great raincoat, but also works as casual wear for city commuters like myself. I wish its front zipper worked better (the zipper feels quite dense and requires a certain strength to operate). The color and overall fit of the jacket is great.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance
