Best alpine harness ever
November 18, 2010
This is quite possibly the best harness ever for everything from ice climbing to trad to long alpine routes. The thin material makes you forget you're wearing a harness, but is very comfortable for long hanging belays. Ice clipper slots allow you to rack your screws easily with BD ice clippers. I have had the harness for half a year (used around 3 times per week plus some week-long trips), so can't speak to durability, although it still looks new. One important aspect that I've never heard others mention: the thick material on other harnesses makes the leg loops rub if you're walking which is annoying; this is not the case with this harness.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use

You put it on and it disappears until you need it. It's very light, moves with you, and is adjustable to a perfect fit. The removable gear racks are magic for fitting this harness under a backpack hip belt. I also have the sport version which I have beaten up for a over a year and including some time in the Tetons, and it still looks great. This harness is made of the same material and should last even longer. Double back your buckles? Not me! Squeeze the ice melt out of your padding? Not me! Climbing harness uncomfortable under a backpack hip belt? Not mine!Pros: Great design, Build quality, Lasts forever, Performance
