Weird shape, too baggy as a "midlayer"

This Hoodie would be fine if you want a baggie sweatshirt; that is how it is shaped. Long, yes, but also wide, nothing fitted about it, not sure why it is called a "mid layer." I returned it as I truly was looking for a mid layer...
