Great Meal Whenever/Wherever
July 22, 2009

This meal is one of my favorite freeze dried meals. I always make sure to take it on any camping trips and have lots of these for my long-term food storage.

Awesome!

Went on a small hiking trip with family and this one was really something special! What is up with backpack food these days? It used to be beans, rice and trail mix.

Good Taste and Easy to Prepare
November 03, 2010

Don't expect the Backpacker's Pantry Pad Thai to taste as good as the Phad Thai at your favorite Thai restaraunt but for freeze-dried it's good. Usually I prefer to spend a little less money on my backpacking meals (angel hair pasta from the grocery store, etc.) but this is one treat I like to add now and then for variety. Also, it's easy to prepare as boiling water can be poured into the pouch.

Pros: Ease of use

Just OK

If you really like pad thai then you might like this dish. I kinda like pad thai and it was edible. The peanuts are added at the end and stay crunchy. It is also a good veggie choice. If you want to mix up your camping diet, this will do the trick.
