Arc'teryx Naos 45 Backpack:
Some packs are designed for climbing or mountaineering, others are created for backpacking and skiing. Arc'teryx made their Naos 45 Backpack to fit well and protect your essentials, so it does everything well no matter where you go outside. The Naos 45 Backpack features Advanced Composite Construction, an array of new fabrics and innovations from over four years of Arc'teryx research. It's made with pack-specific 420-denier Advanced Composite Textile (420 ACT) designed by Uretek (the designers of the WaterTight zipper) that was custom made for Arc'teryx backpacks. This fabric has an airtight, two-sided urethane sealant that locks out water while easily fusing with other materials, so it won't allow seepage like other conventionally stitched backpack fabrics. By applying the same exceptional fit technology developed for their award-winning Vapor harness, Arc'teryx applied Spacermesh and open foam shoulder along the radial-shaped shoulder straps, hipbelts and backpanels for adjustable and highly ergonomic comfort. There's also a rotating Load Transfer Disc that gives the hipbelt a better range of motion--although you can disconnect the Load Transfer Disc if you're hauling a light day hike load. The Naos 45 is a light trekking pack that can easily adapt to hold an overnight summer load or a day's worth of winter snowshoeing essentials. Arc'teryx shaped the pack design for easy load control without the external clutter. Everything on the outside is about adjusting the load for the fit--and if the pack fits, you're going to enjoy your journey more. No matter what you're doing outside.
