Finally, the perfect helmet

Bern has really stepped it up. Bought this in gloss white for my girlfriend and she loves it. Bought her a small and she tightens it up a bit with the click adjustment in back, one of the best features of the helmet. Nice, low profile. Visor for extra sun (or fall) protection. She plans to wear a beanie under it for boarding in the winter.

This helmet is very comfortable and fits well. It looks great too. The only downside is that with the padding it is a little warmer than some other helmets out there.

The summer helmet was everything I expected and seems to be good quality. The visor is removable which is nice. However, the sizing on this helmet runs large -- I measured 56 cm and ordered a medium and it is much too large. Will need to exchange it for a smaller size.

I have a Bern ski helmet, and needed a summer one for riding in the city. This fits the bill; it's great looking, comfortable and the sun visor is a big help.

I'd tried on several bike helmets before and they always felt too loose...they would slide around on my head. This helmet fits like a glove. It feels very secure and was easy to adjust for the perfect fit. The visor is cute and a nice addition for bright summer days and I love the matte finish and fun color. The helmet came with a second liner-thing that could replace the one with the visor, I guess. I wish there had been instructions and information about that in the box. That's really my only "complaint."

I was excited to try the zip mold, but I didn't keep this helmet for 2 reasons. 1) the hat brim portion is not removable (unless you take the rest of the zip molding w/ it). I didn't like the hat brim because I found it cut into my field of vision 2) the color--I missed my hot pink helmet, and this purple just wasn't as cute. Give me just the zip mold in hot pink and I'd be sold.

A few weeks ago my Bern, Berkeley summer helmet (in gloss white) arrived from Altrec.com. I know how important it is to wear a helmet (especially when you're riding bikes in an urban setting like I am). This helmet is different than any others I've ever seen or tried on. Not only is it really comfortable, but it looks good. Other helmets need so much adjustment and then they just sit on the very top of your head. This helmet covers more of your head (which makes sense). It's also cooler-looking than regular bike helmets (which look like alien heads to me). Since I've started wearing it, I've gotten quite a few compliments and my husband and child both want Bern helmets now too.

Actually this is the only helmet I have bought! But WOW is it comfortable!! And cute. I bought the Matte Grey Flower Graphic with Visor and it is beautful! I'm so much more confident on the road and on trails when wearing my helmet....feel much more safe. And look cute too! The helmet comes with the visor insert (which is padded) and another insert (padded also) that does not have a visor which could be used more for night riding, or on cloudy days. I haven't used it yet on a really hot day (which there aren't many of in MN anyway), so not sure on how good the air flow is. The helmet adjusts at the back of your head and on the chin straps. I measured my head before I bought it (you should too!) to determine the correct fit. I bought the small, and it fits great!

This helmet is the best thing to ever happen to my head. Not only does the Bern have cute on its side, the fit is divine, I used the specified measurements and the fit is spot on. Mine shipped to me lickety-split and I anticipate many fond bike memories with my Berkley in place.

I bought this helmet for my wife for Christmas, we looked everywhere for a helmet that didn't look so huge / cheap. The Bern helmets were just what we were looking for. The straps adjust easily for a perfect fit. My wife loves the color scheme and the bill. It looks really good on her! High quality. Well worth the price.

Measurement info was accurate, helmet is a very comfortable fit, the vents work well in warm weather. Cloth visor is excellent and will not get in the way in a bad crash. Don't have to wear a baseball cap underneath anymore. Highly recommended!
