Another cool aspect, unique-to-Pearl-Izumi, is Select Transfer fabric. It's used here on the Sugar Jersey because it's designed to evaporate sweat 15 times faster than ordinary polyester. Select Transfer has hydrophilic (water "loving") yarns against the skin which quickly absorb sweat, moving that moisture to the exterior of the garment for rapid evaporation. That's especially important in a sport like cycling, where you might perspire a great deal on a climb but catch a chill on a long descent if that moisture remained on your skin.
