Very cute and very short
I also read the reviews and bought the dress in a large (I am 5'7", typcially sz 8/M, fairly equally proportioned on top and bottom). It is very cute, and the blue color is vibrant. I bought both blue and black, and the detailing is pretty on both, but I seem to be the only one that felt the dress was true to size. In the large size, it was too big - I had at least an inch or more extra width under the arms, making me look wider in the upper body. I don't have a large chest (B cup) though, so maybe someone with more up on top may fill it out better than I did. I do agree that the length is quite short and perhaps that is where the other reviewers felt the size needed to be increased. I think I'll wear each as a long blouse, instead. The hem comes to my upper thigh, and barely skims past the 'ol biscuits in back. Very cute, all the same...as a dress or blouse.

Very cute, but small
I recommend ordering this dress one size larger than you normally would, as it is quite tight and short. Otherwise, it is well made and super cute!

cute! sweet!
I liked this dress very much...very cute but very, very short!! I am 5" 4" and ordered the small and it fit my body perfect except it was too short ..above mid thigh!
