Salomon Snowboards Women's Poison Snowboard Binding:
While the innovations on Salomon's Women's Relay eLite steal most of the limelight, this Women's Poison Binding isn't exactly a wallflower--it's the ideal choice for expert and advanced female freestyle riders who want performance with a little more flex potential. Salomon likes to pair these bindings with their moderately stiff Kiana freestyle boots, but you can pick and choose your footwear, especially with Salomon's female specific Women's Drumframe highback. Salomon contoured the Drumframe shape and the Overflow padding to conform to the narrower heel structure found on most women's performance boots, so it's the most advanced performance highback available from Salomon this season. The 45% glass fiber composite baseplate is the same one found on the top-shelf Relay eLite, although Salomon did remove some of the whistles and bells found on the Poison's strap closures--unless you're on the women's pro tour, you probably won't miss the differences. Like most high-end Salomon women's bindings, the Poison has an asymmetrical ankle strap with a female-specific geometry that eliminates the cold toes and foot pain (from constrained blood flow) associated with unisex bindings. This season Salomon replaced the old buckle design and added a new, Italian-made, CNC cut aluminum ratchet closure with a special "four click" design that secures the Poison faster than ever before. If you need expert-level freestyle performance snowboard bindings but you don't need the same setup as the pros, Salomon's Poison is an easy pick.
