Very Pleased With the Helmet

I am very pleased with this helmet. I have only used it for a winter travel class at Rainier Paradise but it was quite comfortable. I often find helmets itchy and this was not. Also, the helmet fit quite well and the size can easily be changed with the turn of a crank. My hat size is 7 and it seemed to be in the middle of the range. My fiancee also tried it on who is a hat size six and it fit her as well. Lastly, the gray color (which I ordered) looks more to me like a light blue. I assume the actual blue color is a darker blue. The helmet was also light and I barely noticed it when attached to my pack. Highly recommend.

The grey helmet actually looks like blue. Great helmet and really comfortable. Seems to fit all sizes.

Great, light helmet

This helmet will protect you from the unexpected rock etc. Better yet, it's lightweight and gets reasonable circulation. It does stand up kind of high on your head, but not so much that it gets in the way of climbing.

The BD Half Dome is the best fitting helmet for my head. I use mine for caving. I've had a BD Half Dome for a year. I have liked it, so I bought another one for work.

This is my second BD Half Dome. I decided to retire the previous helmet after 6 years of protecting my head while mountaineering and rock climbing. The updated BD Half Dome was a natural choice for me as I was happy with the previous helmet and like the BD brand overall. I got the new Half Dome in bright orange to make myself visible on the mountain. It is lightweight with the suspension system which is easy to adjust. Overall, the helmet feels light and comfortable. I expect that it will work well with the head lamp as the design seems similar to the prior model (which worked great). One thing I noticed is that the chin straps could be a little too long for a person with a small head (a woman or a child).

easily adjustable & real light. i've used 'em before and just never had any kind of issue. black diamond has a comfortable helmet..so i bought one.
