Description
Black Diamond's workhorse probe for deep snowpacks, the Guide features strong 12.5 mm aluminum tubes to increase strength and stiffness and their new QuickDraw system that deploys from inside its stuffsack to fully assembled in a single, time-saving motion. Easy-to-read depth markings every centimeter of the three-meter length allow precise measurements of snowpack and debris. The non-slip grip provides a secure purchase, even with wet gloves.

Black Diamond Probe - easy to use!

I am new to back-country touring so was looking for a reasonably priced probe that was light and easy to use should I need it. It is compact and really easy to pull from its convenient sack. It employs smartly and quickly with good strength for deep snow probing. I would highly recommend this Black Diamond probe.

Well made avalanche probe that quickly extends when needed. Weighs a little more than some probes, but this stout probe will penetrate through ice and and snow without too much bending. Comes in compact carry sack.
