Raven Pro Ice Axe
I purchased this axe for a climb on Mt Rainer in April 2011. I had an older Black Diamond ice axe that was extremely heavy, so i thought i would make the switch...wow, is this light! But enough weight to slam in a self arrest, and enough substance for general mountaineering ...i can't say this would be a good axe for any sort of technical climbing as the head is too light, and would not hold well....
but again, for climbing normal routes on mountains like rainer, i found it perfect...

NICE AXE
this axe is very light!,you wont notice it on your pack or in your hands for hours at a time,im 5'11 and the 70cm seems to fit perfect,thanks altrec for continued great service

It is perfect for general mountaineering, doest the job and never have problem.
