a great set for starters or for replacement in a pros arsenal. I was suprised how large the hexs were, they could easily replace some of the larger cams up to 2's, but are awesome for backups as well to the cams. bomber holds in any type of rock. I love this set and highly recommend!

Great Hexes
These hexes have worked great for me as a cheaper alternative to carrying a whole second set of cams. In addition to the obvious cost difference, the hexes are lighter, making long approaches and multiple pitches a little easier. The variety of placement possibilities and the flexibility of the steel cables make them a great alternative.

Great Hexes - simple, standard and strong.
These are pretty standard on any rack - especially when you are a just starting. Use them in place of cams until you can afford to upgrade - and they will always be good as large stoppers.
