Description

Crafted with a no-nonsense, practical waterproof design, the Bogs Tradesman Tall Boot for men is a popular choice among Alaskan fisherman and anyone who works in frigid and damp coastal or maritime conditions. While the classic profile looks like any other seaworthy rubber boot on the outside, the Bogs Tradesman Tall boot has a molded EVA sockliner wrapped in 6-mm waterproof Neo-Tech and 2-mm Airmesh insulation that comfort rates the boot down to -40F. Bogs refined the outsole so it's ASTM-approved for slip-resistance and completely non-marking. The tread is specifically designed to grip wet and cold painted cement, diamond-plate metals and assorted tile surfaces. Inside the Men's Tradesman Tall Boot is a dual-density contoured insole that's treated with a moisture-wicking finish. Bogs also added an Aegis antimicrobial finish that helps extend the overall life of the boot.

Excellent boots for all weather conditions
June 28, 2012

I am a Wetland Biologist who works out in the wet weather of the Pacific Northwest. I have used these boots for the last 2 years, and I love them compared to other boots. They are essentially knee-high boots, and they will keep everything dry and warm regardless of the weather conditions. I can walk in streams and ponds all day long and keep my feet dry. The thicker rubber material on the outside is much more durable than neoprene. I often walk in very thick blackberry patches for hours at a time. These boots lasted for about 2 years before they had a slight tear in the boot. Granted, I use my boots in much more rugged environments than most will, so these boots would last for much longer than that for most people. Two years is much longer than some of my other boots have lasted, due to the thick brush and blackberries that I have to walk in for work on a regular basis. I definitely recommend these boots, and they will do well in all weather conditions and temperatures. A great value at the price offerred by Altrec!

Pros: Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
