Perfect for year around mountain expeditions and extended outdoor pursuits, this heavyweight sock features high density yarn throughout the foot to provide extra protection and impact resistance. Bridgedale's unique Woolfusion® technology yarn blends a high content of moisture absorbing New Wool with wicking Endurofil™. This pulls excess moisture away from the foot ensuring lasting comfort and blister control. Targeted knitting around the ankle defines a deep heel pocket and easy ankle flex zone to maintain a precise fit. The sculpted heavyweight cushioning provides extra comfort and protection in the Achilles-heel and toe box area. The men's Bridgedale Endurance Summit Sock is designed for use with full-height high volume footwear in cold conditions.

I use regular (GTX) hiking boots on my mountian climbs and have always struggled with cold feet. These socks are very comfortable and keep my toes toasty!

These socks live up to the posted reviews. I have size 15 feet and these socks are comfortable to wear without any tight spots and keep my feet dry and warm all day on cold concrete during the winter. These socks also pass the test of multiple washer and dryer cycles without any reduction in size and comfort. I would recommend these socks to anyone looking for the best available wool blend XL sock for work or play for warmth, comfort and durability.

Having had recent blister problems I thought I'd try Bridgedale after hearing from some people who are trekking every day in them and tried everything under the sun. I got no blisters on long alpine hikes. Can't be sure Bridgedales were the reason but after some big blister problems I'm glad I got them.

I've tried smartwool , patagonia , and various others, and I might not have picked them at first sight and touch , but after a few weeks , and washes , the difference is obvious .

When i bought these i was shocked on how soft they were. it was like wearring a blanket on your feet. it kept my feet and legs warm while also providing comfort when wearring high boots.
