Sandal Socks
I purchased these hoping to wear with sandals during the cooler months. Very pleased with the purchase. These are a quality pair of socks which provide good support and comfort. Also, the pattern of the socks looks great with my Birkenstocks, although my wife is a little embarrassed with my style.

Bridgedales are my go-to sock for the outdoors
I own over a dozen pair of Bridgedale socks. They are extremely comfortable, and last forever. I think my oldest pair is probably around the three year mark, and to date not a pair have a hole in them( the dryer swallowed a few, but I can't hold Bridgedale accountable for that). Great socks, worth the price.

Comfortable sock for casual wear
I bought two pairs of these socks and really like them for casual use - the fit is very comfortable, and the fabric wicks away moisture so my feet never feel hot and sweaty. I really like the above-ankle cut, which keeps your feet warmer than low-cut socks on cool Oregon days. I haven't worn these socks on a hike, I did wear them golfing and ended up wishing I had worn socks with more padding - although I was pleased my feet never felt wet, despite a damp showery day.
For more active use (such as on the trail) I would recommend a heavier sock with more padding. For everyday use, just bumming around in jeans and casual shoes, these are very comfortable socks.

sooo comfortable!
On a chance I purchased a couple pairs of these on sale, and now I'm hooked. Great socks. They keep my feet dry and comfortable all day during my 12+ hour workdays. I also love that they have extra padding in all of the right places. A definite must have for anyone thats going to be on their feet for any real amount of time.

Trailhead Socks
Purchased these socks about 5 weeks ago. They are very comfortable and fit well. They have a nice snug fit and thick enough to provide some cushioning. Have been using them while cycling, running and hiking. Just completed a 15 mile trail hike wearing them...feet felt comfortable and no blisters ! So, would highly recommend them.

Husbands socks
Husband finally has a pair of socks that stay up, and keep him warm. He wasn't sure about the color, but they are great with his casual clothes. They are also stylish & youthful. My 65 yr old looks great!

Super Comfortable
The socks are super comfortable, lightweight, and very warm. They are shorter than I expected, rising only a couple of inches above the ankle. I cannot comment on durability yet, as I just started wearing them.

Excellent Quality
This is a great fitting sock. I have enjoyed the exceptional quality of this sock, along with the good design. I love to wear with my Keen Newport Sandals, helps control perspiration and odors

Best brand socks available!
This is my second set of Bridgedale socks and they are terrific! I use my first set for very hard work and it is over 10 years old and are still in perfect condition. I would recommend Bridgedale to everyone!

Love these!
I got my wife a pair of these & after trying unsuccessfully to stretch them over my huge feet, decided to get my own pair. They definitely exceed my expectations as far as comfort and weight go and feel good too! The only drawback is the semi-noticeable chemical smell from the heavy dyes (I think) used on them.

Perfect Hiking Sock
This is a great sock for extended hikes - no abrasion, breathes well and holds up well. I purchased 1 pair to check it out and liked it enough to come back for more - this is now my standard hiking sock

Sizing runs small IMO
My foot measures 10.5-11 and is quite wide in front if you go by NB standards, therefore I need to wear Nike Vomero's and NF Boa 50 13D's, which both fit very nicely. The XL sock chosen by the sizing chart for my foot size, is not close to a decent fit, the size L I could never get on. Socks look really and felt great, for the very short time I did have the XL in the running shoe, they were just way too tight. I am still waiting for the Merino 53% wool light weight hikers to arrive and hope that ends my search for the perfect walking/jogging sock. I suffer from sciatic and peripheral nerve pain in both legs and feet and it is a real challenge finding the right shoe and sock combo. Love dealing with Altrec, so I gave it a try. Runner's World has some great advice on sock options, which is how I ended up looking at Altrec once again.

Perfect for running or walking
I bought these for running because they were highly recommended by Runners World as trail socks. If you're like me and prefer a slightly thicker sock for running, then these are perfect. Excellent cushioning in the right spots. Seams that are smooth and don't rub, and they stay in place remarkably well, even on longer runs.

Perfect
My husband suffered through loads of low-rise mtnbiking socks that wore out too fast until I bought these on the virtue of their description alone. They have washed up great, worn well and he says they are the most comfortable he has ever experienced, fit perfectly in all the right spots.

These are fantastic sox. I have 3 pair as I thought I would wear them out quickly. To my surprise, they have taken a sound beating and show minimal wear. Perfectly form fitting for my feet. I love them and would advocate them to anyone.

high quality/long lasting
Bridgedale is a quality sock company. I rate the X-Hale Trailhead four and a half stars. It's a mid weight sock but closer to a running mid weight than a hiking mid weight. A very comfortable active wear sock. Also suitable for wear with street and casual shoes. It also holds up well to machine washing and doesn't shrink much at all in the dryer.
