Great Sock for trail running
I own about 4 pairs of these socks and it is the only sock I would buy for trail running. I love the way they fit. They are not to bulky and have a small amount padding exactly where you need it.

Bridgedale socks ROCK
We've been wearing Bridgedale socks (all styles) for YEARS. They are reliable to be the best. I like to choose certain color combinations to remind me how warm or how cool the socks are (for what types of weather I should choose to wear them).

Bridgedale is good
I've recently become a big fan of merino wool socks. I gave up on cotton socks a long time ago and I've just given up on the moisture wicking synthetics. Merino wool is where it's at for socks and these Bridgedales are pretty good. I say pretty good because the wool content is not as high as some other top brands in the category so these socks feel more "synthetic" to me than natural fiber. Still, this sock is comfortable and breathes well. I like the height on this sock because it is low but not so low that it falls inside the shoe. The fit on these socks feels large to me compared to other brands. I wear a 9.5 shoe and I bought the large. I think the medium would have fit better but the size thing is not so bad that I can't wear them. One thing that I really do LIKE about this sock is the cushioning. The cushioning is excellent. It's strategically placed and it doesn't take up too much room in the shoe. All in all, this is a good sock and a worthwhile purchase.

Great purchase
Bridgedale X-Hale Speed Demon socks are wonderful. I use them with my exercise sneakers, and a couple of pairs of leather Sperry Topsiders that needed to be made snugger. I am a bit over 5"10" tall and weigh about 165 lbs. These L socks are sized well, about size 11. In Dallas, Texas, we have a lot of hot weather and fast-wicking, low-rise breathable socks like these are just right for where I live. In addition, they are cushioned where needed most, and are comfortable (no annoying seams in the wrong spot). One quibble I have is that the socks retain slight stains from my Sperry Topsiders but that is to be expected - bleach is not recommend for them. Altrec delivered these socks quickly and in sturdy packages. Their website is user-friendly as well. My only regret is that I ordered only two pairs of these socks from Altrec. I will buy several more.

Great in every way!
I just found this brand and its the best ever. Really helps cut down on sweat/odors even wearing for long periods of time. I love how the bottom is more padded and have tried them with reg running shoes and hiking boots- they work great with everything. Washes well too. Highly recommended!

poor quality socks
These Bridgedale socks were poorly made and fit small. If you want good quality running socks go with Icebreaker or Eurosocks.

These are great socks, worth the price. They are comfortable. cool and they wear well. They feel soft and they fit great. They look nice too.

great no show hiking socks
I wore these socks on a 5-hour hike. These socks were great. They did not bunch up, wicked the sweat away, and I did not end up with blisters! I wear a women's size 9 and the Large fit fine.

Large a little small for my low volume 10.5 Feet
We will see how they wear. I have some older black and gray Brigedales with little black tread design that come up higher on my ankle that are my favorites and I thought these were similar. but there lower and seem smaller.

Recommended!
I bought these for my son for a hiking trip. They were great, no blisters and when we tramped through a creek, they wicked away the dampness. He wears a size 12 shoe, and the XL fit him very well.

great no show socks
I bought these Bridgedales along with the Smartwool PHD's for my college age son to wear around campus and to take on a month long trip to Italy. He called today asking me to order more of these Bridgedale X-Hales for his Italy trip because he likes them best. He said they fit better and seem to keep his feet dryer and cooler than the Smartwools. He wears a size 10 1/2 shoe and the larges fit perfectly.

Great Socks
I've only worn these around the house so far and also to the gym. They fit great and are very comfortable. I wear a size 10.5 in shoes and bought the large.

These socks were great for golf!
X-Hale Cool Lo Socks are an excellent choice for golf socks. The only thing I might mention is to buy a little larger size as they fit a little snug--but otherwise great footwear

Outstanding sock for very low shoes
I originally bought these for use with Keen sandals, thinking that they would be tall enough in back to cushion my ankle from the sandal strap while still being as low as possible. While the socks are great at what they do, this was not the case. Do no purchase this particular model for sandal usage, as walking will make them slide down in back (exposing flesh to your Keen's straps). They will only work with the lowest of the low shoes. That said, I am a Bridgedale fan to the core and these socks ensure that. I find hem to be tougher than the also great Smartwools and a better fit for my 9.5 DD foot. I am using currently the X-Hale Lows as a liner for wear under my paper thin dress socks, which they perform admirably at.

Great socks
I have several pairs of Bridgedale socks. They fit well and last through the laundry. I wear a size 12 and these seem to run smaller than my others. If your foot is a 12, I suggest the XL.
