Some of us prefer to spend more time snowboarding in the air than on the cool, white fluffy stuff. If this is you, Burton's Air snowboard is the next best thing to a private pilot's license. It's a freestyle performer built light with plenty of lively pop for flying fast and free above pipes and terrain parks. The Burton Air snowboard uses the popular and proven Super Fly® wood core with Dualzone™ Edge Grain Direction at toe and heel and a complete Lite Triax fiberglass wrapping. Dualzone™ Edge Grain Direction improves the edging and adds durability without smothering the pop in unwanted weight. The layers of Lite Triax fiberglass add torsional stiffness for exceptional carving and easy turn initiation. Aside from graphics and a new 145-cm. length, this is all you need to fly low on any terrain.

- Stellar performance for all terrain but shines brightest in pipes, parks and groomed runs

What can I say other than the fact this is an excellent snowboard. It has amazing edge to edge response when carving and cradles your landings when going off of big jumps. I have honestly never been more satisfied with any other snowboard than this 2005 Burton Air. I highly reccomend this board for and rider.

162. My first snowboard, though I've been riding for a year already. I wasn't really into leaving the ground til I got this board, but it loves air. It also positively purrs off piste through powder. Get one!

The Air reminds me of a Japeneese import, (rice racer). The board is light soft and enjoys being in the air probably as much as you do. I have found that there is plenty of snap and also tons of edge. I have also been on a Burton dragon and a k2 dart. This is by far my favorite board, just straight up awsome in the park.

I had a K2 Dart 160. The Air is 153 so that made a big difference. Smaller = more manuverable and you can go into turns more aggresivley. The Air is light as its name implies. Edges are real nice and can be whipped around, goign into quick turns is easy. Nice spring off of jumps. The bindings are set towards the back an inch or two also which I like but some might. Lets you take it easy a little more. 7.5/10
