For starters, the GORE-TEX® insert isn't just waterproof/breathable, it's also windproof so your hands stay protected no matter what's happening outside. The extra long storm cuff makes sure nothing sneaks up your sleeve to chill your skin. Burton threw in GORE® XTRAFIT Technology to make sure the liner stays in place even when you pull your hand out (although we're not sure why you'd ever want to). The cherry on top is Pittards® Oiltac Leather in the palm to make sure you have enough grip for strapping in, shoveling or catching a hail mary in the end zone.
