I finally got a chance to ride on the Burton ION boots (2012) for the first time last week. I love how easy it is to lace up the boots and how easy it is to unlace (take off) the boots. Size 9 was a little snug for me; but after I got the liners heat-molded to my feet, the fit was perfect. These boots are very comfortable for all day riding; I wore it continuously for 12+ hours and had absolutely no discomfort whatsoever. The high support rating (8) is really fantastic in that it gives me complete and precise control of my board.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use
Fabulous boots - great fit
November 25, 2011
I wanted to treat myself this season 2011 and looked all over the web for snowboard boots that fit my style and price. I found these to be very Very comfortable. I have been searching for a pair of boots where your heel does not slip, I like the fit a lot. I'm a 9.5 and it fits like a 9.5Pros: Build quality, Cons: Cost
My new FAVORITE boot!
January 15, 2012
I bought these boots to try eliminate the foot pain I was getting after a few hours of riding in my previous (less expensive) boots from another maker. I had them shipped directly to the resort where I was staying for my week long Utah snowboarding trip and they arrived before I did. The Speed Zone/Dual zone lacing and Rad Pad definitely helped to alleviate the foot pain I used to experience once I stopped tightening down the lower zone too much. The Pressure Relief panel allowed me to crank down my bindings so my boot and board stayed responsive all the way down the mountain. My feet were nice and warm and never once got cold the entire week. The beefy traction on the bottoms also helped me stay on my feet during the trek back and forth to the gondola each day. Still debating if I want to get the liners heat molded to better fit my feet. Might give them a few more runs before making that decision, but I do have the option, which is nice. Wish they were cheaper, but the quality you get is well worth the cost. All in all I am definitely glad I purchased them and plan to get many years of use out of them.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Cost
Reliable and Warm
January 02, 2013
Pros: I bought these boots back in 2010 here and have loved every aspect of them. They are very warm, comfortable, and have a great fit. I typically wear a size 13-14 shoe and a size 13 in this boot fits with just the right amount of room to spare. The boot fits snugly so your foot doesn't have any issue with slipping out or wiggling from side to side when your going down the hill, but it doesn't pinch in any spots, even when the bindings are sinched down tight. The removable insert is nice for drying the boots out after a long day on the slopes. The laces are a breeze, just pull them tight and slide them into their holders. The internal laces are just as simple and keep the liner in place the whole day. After 2 years of frequent use, they show no wear aside from the typical scuffs here and there. Cons: The white has gotten a bit of a yellow tint after storing them over the summer. I'm not sure if this was a fault in the boot or of it was poor storage on my part, but this is only cosmetic and can probably be avoided if you clean the boots off before storing them. The laces are a little difficult to untie. I usually have to give it a couple attempts to get the locks to release.Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use
