Description

Created with durable, waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX® two-ply nylon fabric, the Burton AK 2L Stagger snowboard pants for men are tough, weather proof protection for serious backcountry riders. These men's snowboard pants feature knee-to-knee inseam zippered vents with protective mesh linings for comfortable cooling without snow among your inner layers. Burton used an array of fleece inner lining material for warmth and mobility throughout the Men's AK 2L Stagger Snowboard Pant. This fleece fabric ranges from brushed fleece and microfleece along the waistband, to heat-trapping lightweight waffle fleece and dense Sherpa fleece throughout the rest of the pant. Other refinements include articulated knees, zippered cargo pant pockets and special Burton jacket-to-pant interface loops for keeping your Burton jacket or shell firmly attached to your AK 2L Stagger Snowboard Pant in deep powder snow conditions.

Awesome quality gore tex pants. Material feels thick and durable, never had a problem with the waterproofing or breathability. One thing to note however is Burton's AK fit is slimmer/smaller fitting than most outerwear. I'd highly recommend sizing up if you prefer your pants to fit loose.

Heavy material, durable, runs large for size
February 19, 2011

Very waterproof but need to take care of the DWR. Kind of warm for NV skiing, but the vents help to keep you at right temp. I'm a 34W, but the large size is way too large.

Very nice pants

I did a spring trip and they worked just fine. Breathed well and kept me nice and dry. The crossflow venting works like a charm. My friend gave me props for the camo print as well.

Bombproof pants!
December 06, 2010

I got a chance to use these at Crystal mountain when it was 25 degrees at the base and 17 at the summit and they were perfect with a single medium weight layer underneath. The fleece lining in the seat and knees is a nice feature too. The fabric itself is nice and light as compared to other pants with a lessor waterproof rating but still feel rock solid. This pair of pants definitely lives up to the AK name!

Sick Pants

Fit is loose and comfy. I haven't worn them yet but they seem to be able to keep you nice and warm on those stormy days. The pant to Jacket ZIP interface is perfect.

Different Gore-Tex
June 16, 2012

When I purchased this pant, I looked for a Gore-Tex shell fabric yet it ii different from usual Gore-Tex shells. Its fabric is like normal pants but its durability is as perfect as normal Gore-Tex fabrics. I am 6 inch tall and I wear medium, according to me it might be longer. I recommend this pant even it is a little bit expensive.

Worth Every Penny
January 27, 2011

I'm a little embarrassed to admit, but I stretched 15 years out of my old Burton pants, which is a testament to their products. The only difference this time around, is the fact that I'm ready to pull the trigger on a second pair immediately! Needless to say, Burton products are a dream and these pants are no exception. The pants are plenty warm with a second layer underneath in sub 20 degree weather and with the multiple venting options, they also allow plenty of cooling opportunity when things heat up. You can count on staying dry with Gore-Tex construction and with a lifetime warranty, it adds up to a no-brainer. Just get em, the only thing left for me is to choose the color of my second pair:-)

Great Pants
December 18, 2009

I finally had a chance to use the pair I bought. I really like the fit. The fleece lining in the seat and knees makes them really warm. I've worn them on a fairly wet-snow day and stayed perfectly dry. I wore them on an 18 degree day (with 20 mph winds) and they were plenty warm enough with the proper layering underneath.

Great Pants, a little short
November 28, 2011

Pants are very cool, great material inside and out and very comfortable. The one drawback for me is that they are short. I am 6-1 with a waist of 32". These pants fit perfectly as far as the waist and bagginess but are definitely too short in length. The large is a little baggier but still fits alright and the length is much better. Venting is very nice and there are enough pockets to store your belongings but not to many. Overall a very great pant made for a little shorter stouter person than me.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Ease of use, Cons: Cost, sizing
