Part of the softer flex comes from Burton's proven Super Fly II wood core, which has a little less twitch than the Dragonfly wood core used on the Custom and Custom X snowboards. Burton balanced this reduced flex with new Lightening Bolt fiberglass, so when you do want to turn, you enjoy near-instantaneous energy transfer from your boots to the snowboard edges without hesitation or second-guessing when and exactly where you'll turn. Another distinction between the Custom V-Rocker and other Custom snowboards are Burton's 10:45 sidewalls, a durable sidewall construction that features two angles to help absorb impact and abuse without messing up the performance.
