Saved My Wrists - More then once!
December 03, 2013

These gloves have save my wrists more then once. Gives nice protection on the backside of the hand and wrist. Fell a few times and hit some ice patches on the mountain, and boy did these save me from broken bones or more damage. They are ultra warm, sometimes TOO warm where your hand are sopping wet inside... Just let them dry out once your done shredding the mountain... Very Very waterproof, and durable... I would tell anyone who is a newbie to snowboarding to get a pair... and wear them!!! They do work, and they will save your hands & wrists!!! WORTH EVERY PENNY SPENT!!!

Nice protective glove

These gloves saved me thousands time. It's warm and comfy, you don't need to worry about breaking your wrists when you hand drag on snow which is common when you fall during learning new tricks. I broke my wrist on half pipe once without these gloves. Now I won't ride without a pair of them.

Pros: Great design, Build quality, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Wears quickly, Cost

Love these gloves!
July 24, 2013

Love these gloves! I will not ride without them. 10 years ago I broke my wrist in Park City. I've been riding with these ever since. I have taken some nasty falls over the years and these things saved me! This past season, hiking the continental divide (loveland resort in CO) I took a nasty tumble off the ridge. About 40' down I impacted a rock on the side of the wrist. The glove absorbed the impact perfectly, the boning and seams tore apart, but my wrist and arm were saved. X-rays showed no damage. There is no doubt that I would have broken my arm if I was not wearing them. The Burton Impact glove design has improved over the years. The current version is by far the most comfortable. However, the gloves are not super warm. I personally pair them with glove liners and some hand warmers on very cold days. Hopefully Burton will release a mitt version someday. In terms of durability, they last about 30 (full) days on-mountain before the external seams start coming apart. After about 40 days on mountain I find the need to replace them. (I do tend to drag my hands a lot) I highly recommend these to anyone from 1st timers just learning, to advanced freestyle riders trying to get that trick. Don't ride without them!

Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use, Cons: Wears quickly, not very warm
