i live in ohio, where weather is real unpredictable. its a nice jacket to have around because it blocks the wind and insulates well when its bitter cold, and ten minutes later when its sunny and fifty degrees, you can unzip the vents and let air circualte through it. more pockets than i ever imagined, every time i put it on i find a new one. all in all, well worth the money, and a great jacket.

great jacket with superior performance

this jacket rocks! great for all weather conditions...if you get too hot, just crank open those vents! highly recommended for anyone looking for great performance and style on the mountain. if you've never bought burton jackets before though, they do run a bit large, so take that into consideration.

Great jacket.

Got the black one. Kept me dry and looking pimp on the slope.

Great Jacket

Not only does this jacket help my friends find me on the slopes in Tahoe due to it's bright colors and design, it does a great job keeping out the cold even though its light and thin as a feather. It has a large amount of discreet pockets for all of your items. I usually wear a medium, but for this jacket a small fit just right.

Nice jacket, could have a few more features

All in all and pretty good jacket. It fits quite large, so if you don't like a baggy fit go a size down. PLUSES: The front bottom cargo pockets are large and nicely lined. Perfect for goggles and gloves. The handwarmer pockets seem a little small to me, but maybe that's the point. The internal lining is pretty warm, and the internal MP3 pocket even comes with a little chamois attached by a string to wipe your goggles. MINUSES: The transformer cargo pockets use an extremely small zipper which is completely unusable if you have gloves on. Within the right transformer pocket are other smaller velcro pockets (cell phone, 420), but again, they are so small that they are impossible to use while wearing gloves. The left transformer pocket has a lift pass display pocket. Burton advertises this jacket with the cross-flow venting through these front transformer pockets, but I fail to see how venting would work. Even when the pocket is open, no mesh is exposed from the outside to the internal lining so no air can get through. Air does come through the underarm vents, but no better or worse when the pockets are open. WISHES: Instead of the transformer cargo pockets, I would rather have had some big zipper pockets that I could open/close with gloves. As is, the transformer pockets are pretty much useless on the mountain. Some more internal pockets would be nice too, but Burton jackets in general don't have too many of those. Also, there's a lot of velcro on this jacket. FINAL SAY: A good, but not great jacket. Has a lot of technical features and attention to detail, but lacking in practicality.

this is the best jacket ever it is great for cold and warm snowboarding i went to wintergreen on the east coast and it got into the 50's and i just opened the side vents and u get lots of air to cool u down then i went to colorado where it was cold and it kept me nice and warm. i would recomend this jacket for anyone even though it is a little pricey its worth the extra money

very nice jacket...very pleased...a lot like last years aileron jacket...you can't really see the pockets within the jacket...there is a couple of hidden pockets after you open a primary pocket...very breathable...perfect for mammoth and for sure tahoe =D (matt...is heavenly really charging like $80+ for lift tickets this year? i read it in the news paper)
