My hat size is 7.5 and the truckstop beanie fits me great! If you have a really small head, you could probably shrink it sufficiently in the wash, because, my old truckstop has definitely shrunk over the past year. One-size-fits-all beanies are almost always too small for me or they fit at first but over time they shrink and no longer fit. The truckstop beanie shrinks like all other beanies. But the difference is, there is plenty of extra material, so you always have just the right amount, vis a vis the amount that you choose to roll up and/or unroll. Which leads me to the next reason why this hat totally rocks... If your ears get cold you pull more down to cover them. The material is just stretchy enough that I can pull it over my ears but still keep it above my eyes. It fits tight and round like a true beanie over my dome but the folded up portion gives it a classic look that reminds me of old sailors stocking caps which I prefer because ironically, even though I have a big head, it's kind of a pin-head, so the extra band of material makes my head look less "pinny". My old truckstop beanie that's a year old is getting pills. Like I've already said, it has shrunk with time, but it still fits great. I don't think it'll ever shrink too small. I'll wear it out completely before that happens. I gave it a four out of five for durability because of the pills, but to be honest, pretty much all knit hats will eventually pill. But for the price, I don't mind replacing this hat. I just hope Burton never stops making it. I wear one of these beanies (I own three now!) every day from September till May and/or whenever it gets cool enough. Final note, if you don't already know, it's %100 acrylic. Most of the time I prefer wool to synthetic, but not so with beanies. I can wear merino on my hands and feet and even with long underwear but honestly, wool on my head gets really itchy, really quickly. It's not as warm as wool but it's still plenty warm for everyday use without being too hot.

Pros: Great design, Performance, Ease of use, Great value
