Bad Design or Defect?

I don't know if I simply received a defective product, but I recently purchased the 181cm wheelie board case and my first attempt at traveling with it was somewhat of a disaster. The bag slouched so much that the entire bottom area was scraped pretty extensively after just one use. I have returned the product for a refund given it seemed defective, but maybe it is just a design flaw. Otherwise, the bag is great.
